Free 48″ x 72″ Progress Rainbow Pride Pattern

A good friend reached out to me in June with a very specific request for a quilt pattern to make with a loved one. They were looking for a 4' x 6' sized quilt of the progress rainbow pride flag that uses the original rainbow pride flag 8 colors instead of 6. I quickly created a beginner level friendly...

Double Four Patch {Block & Quilt Tutorial & Pattern Release!}

After making the double four patch baby quilt last week, I thought I'd put together a really quick block and baby quilt tutorial for anyone who might be interested. My quick sketch (above) was what I used to make my version, and I'm writing this tutorial to work with 2 1/2" squares and a single background yardage. Double Four Patch Block...

13 Block Lap Size Quilt Tutorial {Old School BOM Final Layout}

Because we made 2 blocks in April during the Old School BOM, I wanted a layout that would accommodate all 13 blocks that were made during the Old School Block of the Month. Fitted Crib Sheet Quilt {Tutorial}

I have used sheets for the backing of many quilts with a lot of success. This past week I was approached by a mother and daughter team (soon to be grandmother and mother team!) who had a great question: can you take cute fitted crib sheets and turn them into the main design element for a baby quilt? With so many really...

Owl City {A Baby Quilt Tutorial}

My local fabric store was offering 30% off all fabric in their store to celebrate the 4th of July. While I really wanted to purchase much more fabric than I did, I had a budget and I stuck to it. Looking around the store, I noticed that they had just received some really cute owl prints. I chose my...
