Best New Tip/Tutorial: 3D Printed Fabric Cutting Templates
My husband used his Bambu Lab A1 3D printer to print templates I used for the (currently in work) Highland quilt I am making for his parents. In my post, I share the details on some of the settings we used. The templates worked great for my needs!

I look forward to contributing blocks to Many Hands and Many Hearts every quarter, and the black and white framed blocks I just sent off are my favorite batch that I made this year. Cynthia will be accepting blocks through the end of February, so there’s still plenty of time for you to make some, too!

Favorite Project Quilting Season 16 Finish: Regeneration
The first prompt from this year (season 16) was mythical creature, and I chose to use a Phoenix as my inspiration. What I loved most about this quilt finish is that it used a combination of improv and precision piecing techniques. I also love that it used both straight line and free motion quilting.
Favorite Free Pattern: 48″ x 72″ Progress Rainbow Pride Pattern
A good friend reached out to me in June with a very specific request for a quilt pattern to make with a loved one. They were looking for a 4′ x 6′ sized quilt of the progress rainbow pride flag that uses the original rainbow pride flag 8 colors instead of 6. I quickly created a beginner level friendly pattern for them and I am happy to share the pattern with you for free.
Frost Filigree
Favorite WIP Finish: Frost Filigree
I started 2025 with 3 WIPs, and I was able to get them all finished at various points in the year. Frost Filigree was one of those WIPs, and it’s my favorite WIP finish of the year. If you want to make your own version, I also released the Frost Filigree digital quilt pattern this year!

Wow, those 3-D printed templates look fabulous! Those shapes are hard to cut with a flat ruler – having some depth to the template looks very handy. Love your Progress flag design and Frost Filigree, too. Cheers to a happy and productive 2026!

It’s always quite amazing to look back over 12 months and see all that got done isn’t it? And then to look forward to the next 12 months with excitement at a blank slate, so to speak, wondering just how you will fill it, and where it will take you… You had another great year and I know there’s big excitement for an upcoming reveal at Quilt Con!
Yvonne, your workmanship is the absolute best. Our styles are different. It is unlikely that I will look at one of your patterns and think – Gosh, I want to make that. But I so aspire to be as neat as you. I’ve heard that perfection is a myth. To that I will say – Look at Quilting Jetgirl’s work. Is it because you approach your quilts like the precision of aerospace engineering? Kudos for being the inspiration for so many of us. Wishing you continued success in 2026.
