Quilting
For the quilting, I chose to free motion quilt an all over design that is half stipple/meander and half loop. I used a rainbow variegated thread, 50wt Aurifil 3817 (Marrakesh).
Effervescence Pattern Details
Inspired by an improvisationally pieced quilt top, the Effervescence quilt is designed to create a 56″ x 72″ lap quilt that looks improvisationally pieced but uses traditional piecing methods! The pattern includes full color illustrations for 42 unique block designs. The instructions for each block all fit on a single page and include the fabric and cut pieces that you need for each block.
The 70-page Effervescence pattern is written at a confident beginner level. There is no improv, curves, paper piecing, appliqué, or advanced sewing techniques (such as Y seams).

Additional Colorways
In addition to getting to be inspired by all the beautiful versions of Effervescence finished during the quilt along, I shared a handful of additional mockups and fabric suggestions in the quilt along Fabric Requirements post.

Congratulations on publishing another great modern pattern.
Congratulations on your Effervescence pattern release (70 page!). It’s such a colorful quilt, and it’s been fun to watch it come together these last few months. I hope it goes far and wide!
Love that bonus quilt. It reminds me of a minimalist style painting.
I agree that Effervescence has such a modern feel to it. It could hang in the Museum of Modern Art! I’ve found over the years that sew-alongs aren’t generally my thing. And I’m too much of a control freak to do well with mystery quilts! I’ve found that I’m even impatient with block of the month programs. I like to sew on my schedule, not somebody else’s schedule!
