Life, Linky Party

Best of 2024

For the 10th year in a row, Cheryl from Meadow Mist Designs is hosting her year end “Best of…” linky party where she invites us to look back and share 5 of our top moments from the year. This year, I am sharing my top 5 blog posts, based on the views they have received. I know that handicaps posts shared later in the year, but this is an interesting bunch and it was fun to see what resonated with everyone who reads my blog (thank you so much for being part of my community)!

5. Inside Out {Project Quilting 15.3}

I was a bit surprised that my most viewed Project Quilting project from 2024 was from the Inside Out prompt. Upon reflection, I do think this idea is really interesting. I’m not sure how a quilt that would be used daily would really hold up with the inside out seams, but having this quilt hang in my studio is delightful and is a great reminder to keep trying new things.

Over the years, I have realized that Tips and Tutorials are always really interesting to blog readers and this year was no exception (spoiler alert: this is one of two in my top 5!). I really enjoyed making the cuffs and hope that it has inspired others to give them a try!

I am tickled that so many quilters have joined the Effervescence quilt along! This is by far the most well received quilt along I have ever hosted.

Thank you all so much for celebrating with me. Cloudy Night Sky will be on display at Road to California, and then I *think* it might be done traveling and heading back home to me??

My most viewed post of the year was my stitch and flip pressing tip. And for anyone joining the Effervescence quilt along, this is a great post to review before we get started piecing later this month!

Thanks for taking a look back on the year with me; I look forward to seeing what we all make in 2025! Linking up with Best of 2024.

    A great selection of “bests” for 2024. Your award at Quilt Con was so cool. I’ve been going back to your tutorial on flying geese from October of 2022. Your tips and tricks have really improved my accuracy with those pieces.

  4. Your workmanship is the best I have ever seen. But your delightful expression at Quiltcon is the best thing about this post! Wishing you good health and peace in the new year!

    I’m so happy that a lot of people have joined your Effervescence Quilt Along! And it was such a pleasure to see Cloudy Night Sky in person and the icing on the cake was to take photos with you with your beautiful quilt as the backdrop.

  6. It certainly was a good year for you with lots of wows, especially the award at Quilt Con! :-) Can you believe PQ 16 starts in just four days?!

    What a sweet grouping! I love seeing your reaction with your Cloudy Night Sky — love that smile! (And happy it will be at Road — will you be coming down to see it?) I do love year-end reviews, and yours is no exception.
