After working through the Bonus HST sizing two weeks ago, I was able to put the finishing touches on my rough draft of my 2024 quilt along (QAL) design. Northcott Fabrics has generously been providing the fabric for my QAL sample quilts for the last several years, and this year is no exception. I requested the yardage to make the sample quilt from them and it arrived late last week.

Toscana – Northcott Fabrics
I will be using this really lovely gradient of pink fabrics from their Toscana line. From left to right above they are:
- 9020-21 (Pinky Swear)
- 9020-23 (Cotton Candy)
- 9020-233 (Bubble Gum)
- 9020-234 (Fuschia)
- 9020-235 (Hibiscus)
- 9020-280 (Plumberry)
- 9020-281 (Roasted Beet)
- 9020-290 (Cabernet)

Toscana – Northcott Fabrics
Photographing the fabric was challenging, the darker fabrics either seemed to recede together or the lighter fabrics were too washed out, but in real life, the fabrics look *just* like I expected. Thanks so much to Northcott Fabrics; I am really looking forward to using these lovely blenders and testing the QAL pattern.
Beautiful gradient tones, can’t wait to see how you use these.
Very nice. And what great names for fabric colors too!
Oh my goodness…those fabrics are beautiful! I look forward to seeing what you create with these. 🙂
Getting a new fabric is always exciting! Those colors are totally out of my comfort zone and I can’t wait to see what you do with them.
I’ve experienced reds doing the same thing when I try to photograph them. But yay for having the fabric in hand so you can get started.
I am excited to see the pattern for this year’s QAL Yvonne. I haven’t participated in one of yours yet. Hope I can do so this year!!
Very pretty fabric palette! I appreciate the challenge of photographing very pale and deep dark colors together, and I think your photos do all the shades justice. Can’t wait to see what you make with these!
Beautiful Fabric palette!!!
Oh so pretty, my husand’s favorite colors!
Fun gradation of pink! It isn’t a color that is in my stash a lot, but I am totally in love with this.
Very pretty fabric choices. I enjoy sewing with high contrast lights and darks, photographing works in progress is always challenging. My darks always look black in the photos. You did a great job with your photos.
