A week ago, I shared the Bonus HSTs from Stitch and Flip Tutorial and Table. In order to test out the math and make the tutorial, I pulled a few fabrics from my stash. Several of you commented on the lovely fabrics, and I heartily agree! The prints I used are from Leslie Tucker Jenison’s Urban Garden line for RJR Fabrics. Note that Urban Garden came out in 2017, and you can see all of Leslie’s collections on her website.
I have a goal to make at least one quilt each quarter this year just for fun, so after making several test blocks, I decided to use those blocks as the baseline for inspiration for my Q3 just for fun quilt.

Q3 Just for Fun – Fabric Pull
To get started, this week I pulled out other fabrics (mostly prints) from my stash that I think will coordinate well with the prints that I made the sample blocks with.

Q3 Just for Fun – Fabric Pull
Right now my loose plan is to make more of the HST and HST with snowballed corner units in various sizes. Then I’ll put them up on my design wall and puzzle out how to connect them. I am looking forward to seeing where this takes me!
Pretty fabrics and playtime a perfect combination for some fun!
Hello Yvonne. I love the fabrics, and the first thing they reminded me of was a pond. Looking forward to seeing what you make with them!
Fun fabric pull. I like the one with the flying saucer print!
Can’t wait to see where you take this.
Enjoy the “just for fun” process!
This is the best sort of fabric play. Have fun – you’ll have a great quilt top because this fabric pull is really pretty!
Looks like a fun project! Love your fabric pull.
Yellow and blue is such a great color combo. Looking forward to seeing what shows up on your design wall.
