Block 8 – Star Setting Twin, 4 Fabric Version
The Ribbon Star uses flying geese blocks, a square in a square block, and general piecing techniques.
Note for those making either version of Block 8 Star Setting: When cutting your fabric for the throw or twin star setting borders, pay attention to the star point and background fabrics. They are listed in Fabric letter order (Fabric A / Fabric D) which means they are listed with the star point fabric first and background fabric second, which is the reverse order from most other block instructions.

Block 8 – Postage Stamp Setting Throw, FQ Version
In order to maintain the directional prints in my postage stamp throw version of the Ribbon Star block, I used the stitch and flip flying geese instead of the four-at-a-time method.
Be sure to share photos of your block(s) in the Quilting Jetgirl Facebook group or on social media using the hashtag #DiatomQuiltAlong.

I finally made a start on block 3. Fingers crossed I can catch up before the next one comes out.
Row 2 is done and together, so now I can begin on blocks 7 & 8! They should go quickly once I pick fabrics. Those foxes are too cute in your quilt! Love how precise your postage stamp borders are.
