The final block for the Old School Block of the Month is scheduled to be released on Sunday. After piecing my November block, I started thinking about how I want to assemble my blocks in a final layout. I’m still not entirely certain how it is going to come together, but I knew I wanted to get some additional Carolyn Friedlander fabric on hand to use to help me assemble the quilt top. I placed an order from Sewtopia for 2 yards of Diamond Grid White and 2 yards of Lines in White. The fabric just arrived, and it’s lovely!

Even better, I was able to capture the magical metallic sparkle on the Diamond Grid fabric in the photo! I plan to use these as background / sashing to unify the blocks together. Once the final block is released and pieced, I’ll finalize my plans and share with you how I plan to finish up my quilt top.
Have a great weekend! I am in the home stretch of quilting Sesen and have high hopes that I will be binding it soon.
Sparkly fabric oh my! Looking forward to seeing Sesen all quilted!
Love that grid fabric. Looking forward to seeing how you bring everything together!
That will be perfect on this quilt. It will be fun to see it all together. Samplers are always a challenge, but I am always surprised at the many choices you have in making it work when it comes to putting the top together.
Beautiful fabric. Love the clean lines. I’m looking forward to seeing your finished quilt.
They are lovely fabrics! I have always liked the way she uses line in her designs. I think they will work perfectly with your colourful blocks.
