Planview Sample Quilt Fabric - Northcott Fabrics

Planview {2022 Quilt Along}

After coming up with a design, writing a pattern (that includes 6 sizes to choose from!), and getting the pattern edited by my technical editor (Cheryl Brickey from Meadow Mist Designs), this week I get to start sewing the test version of my upcoming Planview quilt along quilt. I’m making the lap size quilt and I’m really looking forward to working with these fun fabrics:

The fabric for the sample quilt was provided by Northcott Fabrics. The colorful prints are by Patrick Lose Studios and are part of the reorderable Mixmasters Mashup line. From top to bottom, I’ll be using:

  • Background – Open Weave White 10015-10 (white)
  • Fabric A – Criss Cross SUNNY 10010-5 (yellow)
  • Fabric B – Hatching LEAF 10009-71 (lime)
  • Fabric C – Sticks IRISH 10007-72 (green)
  • Fabric D – Sparkle CARIBBEAN 10003-62 (aqua)
  • Fabric E – Boomerangs CORNFLOWER 10002-42 (blue)

I was thrilled when I received the fabrics to see that they were just as vibrant, if not more so, in person than in the swatches online!

If you are interested in joining in, the Planview Quilt Along will kick off at the end of this year with a nice slow ramp up and then get going in early 2022. It’s going to be a really fun one and I look forward to sharing more with you about the design soon.

    I love these colors and they look so vibrant in the picture, are they just as vibrant in person? Let’s hope I can keep on cleaning up all of my UFOs and WIPs, these colors look interesting

  2. Those fabrics are so much fun! I look forward to joining the fun.

    Hi! I’m thinking of joining, but it’s hard to know if I’d like the quilt. Can you tell me what style the quilt will be? Traditional, modern? Is there a lot of background? Will there be applique? What’s the complexity level? How many different blocks will there be?
    Thank you!

    1. Great question! I am currently working on piecing the quilt top. I’ll share it very soon and all these questions and more should be addressed in plenty of time before the quilt along begins. 🙂
