MQG Retrospective

In a January newsletter, the Modern Quilt Guild (MQG) announced that it had opened submissions for a modern quilt exhibit at the National Quilt Museum. “The National Quilt Museum will be highlighting a selection of quilts made by MQG members over the past ten years from April 9 through July 27, 2021.” I submitted a few quilts for consideration, and in mid February, just before QuiltCon Together, I was notified that my quilt Sunburst was selected to be included in the MQG Retrospective Exhibit at the National Quilt Museum.

The exhibit is now open, and The National Quilt Museum has shared images of the exhibit on the National Quilt Museum Facebook page. It’s such an honor to have Sunburst hanging on display at The National Quilt Museum in Paducah, Kentucky.

Sunburst is a well traveled quilt, and I’m honored for it to be included in this exhibit with so many other talented modern quilters that I admire. If you are like me and unable to travel to Paducah by July 27th to see the exhibit, I hope you visit the Modern Quilt Guild Retrospective photo album shared by The National Quilt Museum on Facebook.

  6. Truly an honour Yvonne! I’m very happy to see it again because although I love (and made) Triangle Transparency, I just love Sunburst, probably because it’s BLUE! 🙂 Congrats!
