Today is the last day to join the Bokeh Quilt Along at the discounted price. The quilt along begins tomorrow!
In photography, bokeh is the aesthetic quality of the blur produced in out-of-focus parts of an image. Bokeh has also been defined as “the way the lens renders out-of-focus points of light”. Differences in lens aberrations and aperture shape cause very different bokeh effects. Wikipedia
The Bokeh quilt along has a total of 9 options: there are 3 quilt sizes (mini, baby, and lap) and each quilt size can be pieced in one of three methods (inset curve star, traditional drunkard’s path curves, or no curves).
Inset curve stars use a single piece of fabric to create the stars in the quilt top. The traditional drunkard’s path curves require less yardage for the star fabric. And if you aren’t ready to piece curves, you can leave them out! With so many options, the pattern definitely has something to offer for everyone and will be there ready to encourage and support you when you are ready to try a new curve piecing method!
Tomorrow I’ll be sharing some sample colorway and kit information and I hope that you will be sewing along with us. Ready to join? Be sure to purchase the Bokeh Quilt Along before the pre-sale ends tonight!
About the Bokeh Quilt
The Bokeh pattern contains instructions for making a mini quilt (24″ x 24″), a baby quilt (48″ x 48″), or a lap quilt (60″ x 60″), and each of the quilt sizes has 3 piecing options: curves using inset curve stars, curves using the traditional drunkard’s path piecing method, or no curves.
The beginning of the quilt along schedule is very relaxed to account for the upcoming holidays. In 2021, the quilt along will settle into a 3-week pace with a full month and a half for the final finishing and any catch up.

Beautiful pattern. As someone who is terrified of the curves, I wondered if a simple economy block would fit inside the white space of the no curves pattern? (I really hope the thought of someone changing up your design slightly doesn’t offend, it’s not intended to).
