Morrison Park

Pat Sloan‘s newest fabric line with Benartex, Morrison Park, will be in quilt shops starting in October. When she reached out to me to see if there was a chance I might have a pattern or quilt I might want to make with her new fabric line, I had just figured out how to make curve star blocks and inset curve stars. Because those two piecing methods are great for showing off fun prints without additional seams, I immediately drafted up an idea and pitched it to Pat. As a result, I now have these beautiful fabrics to work with for my next project!

I did happen to draft a pattern that wasn’t really possible to sew together, though, so I need to rework my idea just slightly before I cut into these fabrics. Did I mention that I drafted the original design just as I was exploring the new technique? Ah well, I know that with a few small tweaks an even better design is going to emerge.

I really love this grouping of fabric and am looking forward to working with them soon. Are you looking forward to a new project?
