Quilt Pattern

Scoop {Pattern Release}

I shared Scoop back in mid-November, and today I’m excited to announce the release of the Scoop digital quilt pattern! And here’s the inside scoop on Scoop: I actually made it to reacquaint myself with curved piecing before making the Rock Candy quilt for the MQG’s Modern Monthly.

The pattern is written to help you explore your stash and scraps and have fun. It requires 7 fabrics and I have included the original baby size that I made (36″ x 36″) and an expanded large lap size (72″ x 72″).

The back cover shows how the large lap size can become a beautiful kaleidoscope of color with just a few of the arrangements.

The Scoop pattern contains detailed information to help you select your fabrics and confidently piece curves. I recommend using the quarter circle templates from Jen Carlton Bailly, but the pattern also contains paper templates for your use as well. And if you are ever looking for color inspiration, I recommend visiting Design Seeds, uploading a favorite photograph and creating a color selection based on it using the Palette Builder tool from Play Crafts, or reading about color theory for new ideas and inspiration.
