Modern Curves & Bold Stripes {Book Review & Giveaway}

It is my pleasure today to share about a book written by my two good friends Daisy Aschehoug (@warmfolk) and Heather Black (@quiltachusetts): Quilt Modern Curves & Bold Stripes (affiliate link). As you might surmise from the title, each quilt pattern within the book combines curved piecing and striped elements. I have to admit that while I find the prospect of matching striped lines within pieced curves daunting, I’m definitely eager to learn from curve masters like Daisy and Heather.

Table of Contents

Table of Contents

The beautifully arranged table of contents gives you a stunning overview of the projects within the book. I am drawn to Lys (because the combination of stripes and curves seem very achievable at my current level of piecing proficiency) and Sunset Horizons (which is beautiful but intimidating to me at the same time).

There are 15 designs and a total of 24 quilts in the book, including the duplicates with pieced or printed stripes. I definitely appreciate that the authors included quilt options for using printed stripe fabrics! Have you pieced curves before? How about lining up stripes with curved piecing?
