What better way to wrap up the year than with a fun finish? Today I’m happy to get to share my latest Patron mini mini quilt reward.
My patron loved an earlier Om mini mini quilt that I made in blue. When they requested green, I thought it was certainly fitting for a make at this time of year.
To make the mini mini quilt, I found an image of the Om symbol in Sanskrit and printed it out at 4 inches square. I carefully cut the symbol out and then traced the shape onto a solid white quilting cotton. I made my quilt sandwich and started quilting by free motion quilting the outline and then densely pebble quilting the background.
The backing and binding are a bright green crossweave, and I really like the texture that the dense quilting visually adds to the back of the mini mini quilt. The quilt finished at just over 4 1/2 inches square.
I hope that you have a very Happy New Year and wish you the best in 2020!

Neat! I like the little rainbow addition into your pics 🙂
I’m sure your patron loved the quilt in this fresh green at this time of year. The Om design is gorgeous.
My eyes are popping out of my head seeing all those teeny tiny pebbles! I love this little mini. The idea of quilting around a design is so appealing! Happy New Year Yvonne!
I love the rainbow in your first photo! What a perfect last make for 2019. <3
Happy New Year to you too! I always loved the first one and have meant to make one for my yoga teachers (so that would be 2). I think I will add it to the list as it would be a fun and zen like quilt one day.
I always enjoy seeing your mini mini quilts, and this one is just plain fun! Thank you for all that you do for, and share with us quilters out here in blogland. I look forward to seeing your creations and learning more from you in 2020. Happy New Year!
This is amazing Yvonne! Happy New Year!
So cute! I love the tiny pebbles!
I’m not much for Hindu or Sanskrit designs but I love the simple elegance and beautiful contrast of this piece. Imagine using other bold designs, perhaps on a larger piece and quilting the surround with variegated thread – fun!
Happy New Year to you and your husband!
This is soooo gorgeous!! <3
Such a tranquil little piece, and your tiny pebbles are fabulous. Wishing you and hubby a great 2020!
This is a great mini mini for someone Yvonne. Of course the quilting is wonderful.
How cute! I love that the quilting “colours” the block in green.
A very bold and bright last finish for 2019. Happy New Year!
I’ve done that om sign a few times in quilts, on my yoga mat bag, and I’m having a hard time ignoring an om squirrel that is chittering in my ear since I saw a painter friend’s new ‘inspiration to make anything creative and link it up’ post… Love the pebbling and what a beautiful shade of green!
