Converting Images to Grayscale {Video Tutorial}

One of the topics that I cover when I teach transparency workshops is how to take good quality photographs of your fabric selections and convert the images into grayscale. Once the photos are in grayscale, it is easier to evaluate their relative values and edit your fabric selection to create stunning transparency quilts.

I just completed a video tutorial to share this information with everyone! The video covers tips for taking and editing your photographs. It covers using a camera and computer to convert the image (using Photoshop Elements) and using your mobile device. Note that mobile devices have frequent software updates, so the video should be informative and give you an idea of what to look for on your own device.

As a reminder, the Push-Pull Quilt Along kicks off on December 2nd and the sale price ends on December 1st. I hope you can join in!

    Thank you for posting this informative video. Very helpful. I will now take the time to colour adjust my photos before moving onto grayscale.

I really appreciate the time and thought you take to comment, and I look forward to conversing with you. :)
