Did you see the announcement of faculty for QuiltCon 2020 in Austin, Texas, last week? I’m excited that I have been asked back to teach another 3-hour workshop next year!
As part of the crew, I can only sneak away to teach one 3-hour workshop each year. I have said in the past that I am passionate about the quilting community, and one of the biggest ways I give back is to volunteer my time to help make QuiltCon a reality every year by being on the QuiltCon crew. I did heavily consider if it was time to try to teach more workshops in 2020, but I just wasn’t ready to step away from being on the QuiltCon crew.
I know it’s pretty far in the future, but I’m already excited and looking forward to seeing everyone there!
Here are a few additional details that I can share:
* When will registration open?
Registration for MQG members will open Tuesday, June 25th at 10am Eastern time. Registration for non-members will open on July 10th, however by that time most workshops tend to be sold out! You can join the MQG today so you can make sure to register early!
* What are you teaching?
You’ll see when the QuiltCon 2020 catalog comes out by June 1st. 😉
For all other questions, feel free to email register@themodernquiltguild.
Congrats!
Thant’s great Yvonne. You are such a good and generous teacher with a great collaborative teaching style.
Yvonne, that first link takes me to the wrong site. Just thought I’d let you know. Congrats for another teaching gig at QuiltCon. I might actually go this year!
I’m so excited to see the course catalog. Congrats on another year of teaching at QuiltCon!
Congratulations! I love your dedication to QuiltCon and the quilting community! You’ll know when it’s the right time to teach more classes!
Hello Yvonne, Congratulations! You will do a fabulous job at teaching a class! Plus, you will do a fantastic job at helping behind the scenes also! Everything you and so many others put into helping every year helps to make these events a success. I am sorry that I have not been commenting very often, my Mom has been very ill and I am spending a lot of time with her over the past 6 months. Thank you for sharing all of your wonderful information. Have a spectacular day!
When I clicked on the mqg link, it says the site is for sale….any idea??
Congratulations again. Sounds such fun from here away across the ocean
It sounds like you have hit the right balance, for you, of teaching and crewing. It’s a long way off but isn’t it nice have these things to look forward to?
I made the mistake of skipping QuiltCon the last time it was in Austin (to be fair, I was at a quilt retreat! ), and now that it’s back in my neck of the woods, I’m definitely not missing it again!
Congrats, you are such an awesome teacher!
