Splendid Sampler II – Scatter

This week in the Splendid Sampler 2 sew along, I chose to make Scatter by Jess Frost from @elvengardenquilts.

Scatter – Splendid Sampler II Block

I took my time and sewed using a scant quarter inch seam allowance meaning I then trimmed after each seam to keep things as square and true as possible. I really love the color gradient across the block and once again the tiny bit of fussy cutting in the lower left really delights me, too!

Be sure to visit The Splendid Sampler website to see the other blocks revealed today. And if you are sewing along, don’t forget to link up (on The Splendid Sampler site) your pieced version of any of the blocks from today’s reveal to be entered to win a prize.

I think its alternate name should be “Arrow-ish” for it looks as if it is pointing to something. Nice work, Yvonne!

Taking your time and trimming off after each seam looks like it paid off in the end. Nice block!

What a great block and what a great way of dealing with those tiny pieces and seams. The fussy cutting on the bottom left planet is perfect.

Very nice . You do well to keep these tiny squares so straight . Not just the first few in line , but all of them
