Modern Plus Sampler {Pieced Top}

I have really loved participating in the Modern Plus Sampler quilt along hosted by my friends Cheryl (Meadow Mist Designs) and Paige (Quilted Blooms) this year, and I am thrilled to be able to say I have my quilt top pieced together.

I would have loved to get a better photograph of the quilt top, but my design wall is just a touch too small and the main background fabric, Kaffe Fassett Shot Cotton in Pudding, is just a bit too delicate for me to figure out a more creative option than laying it flat on my living room floor.

I love the applique blocks in the quilt top. I’ve actually been doing a lot more applique for projects lately. I know Paige will be thrilled to know she’s had a heavy hand in convincing me to embrace it as a technique!

I always look forward to the parade of finished at the end of one of Cheryl’s quilt alongs. The reveal parade will take place on April 4th, so I snuck in my finish just in time!

    It’s a beautiful finish! Love the colors you choose for this one. Shot Cottons are delicate and can very easily become distorted, but it sure is the perfect background color!
