The block I pieced this week, Grandma’s Abiding Faith, by Jill Shaulis (@yellowcreekquiltdesigns) seemed to call for more fussy cutting.
While we all know the Earth revolves around the sun and not the other way around, the block does seem nicely grounded with the Earth in the middle.
Be sure to visit The Splendid Sampler website to see the other blocks revealed today. And if you are sewing along, don’t forget to link up (on The Splendid Sampler site) your pieced version of any of the blocks from today’s reveal to be entered to win a prize.

I love the earth in the middle. The moon and satellites revolve around the earth.
I really like the colors in your block. Awesomeness! Have a great day!
Love your fussy cutting! This has been a fun sew-along to follow. Take care, Mary.
Well done in finding something small enough to fussy cut for that centre, Yvonne!
(Do we all know about the Earth and the Sun? I recently heard that a flat Earth society still exists!)
I like the earth in the middle. All your fussy cutting makes your blocks have personality.
Love your earth centric block!
Agree with you about the earth in the center. It’s the center of my world, at least, the arrangement of the solar system notwithstanding. What will you be doing with all your blocks? Have you already told us and I’ve forgotten?
Great fabrics and work. What a perfect block.
Great block! Those are some tiny hourglass units.
I just fall in love with these blocks everytime I see them. And grandma’s always seemed to have faith
