My husband took one look at my block for this week and declared it to be a B-25. Hmmm, well, close but not quite honey.

Out on a Limb – Splendid Sampler II Block
Out on a Limb by Carrie Nelson is a block with a lot of seams, and I am proud for sticking with it and getting it pieced! I tried for a bit of ombre fade in the leaves of the tree.
Be sure to visit The Splendid Sampler website to see the other blocks revealed today. And if you are sewing along, don’t forget to link up (on The Splendid Sampler site) your pieced version of any of the 4 blocks from today’s reveal to be entered to win a prize.
Hmmm… don’t see that at all. PS when you see me today, I fell yesterday and have an exquitsely purple left eye. Its ok – just annoyed at myself – so don’t be alarmed!
If Kathleen feels any better, my three year old has a black eye too. I’m not sure how he managed it, but the garland adjacent to the bunk bed was pulled from the wall, and I’m very certain the cause of the injury wasn’t the nap he was supposed to be taking. I love the Carolyn Friedlander fabric choice on those top HSTs.
Another great block!
Great use of your gold fabrics – I love how the top points look like the airy ends of branches.
That’s a lot of pieces to get in place! Love the fade at the top of the tree, you nailed it.
