As you may have seen on Monday, OLFA kicked off a quilt along to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the invention of the rotary cutter! I am really excited to get to share the beautiful quilt that was created by 40 quilters.

OLFA Creates Quilt Along
I’m honored to have been a block contributor for the quilt. You’ll have to wait and see which block was mine!! Any guesses?

To quilt along, visit the OLFA Quilt Along blog post for the kickoff details and first block tutorial. A new block tutorial will be unveiled on their blog each week.
If I had to guess I would say your block is second row, first block on the left. Love the rotary cutter border.
The rotary cutter is as old as me. 1979 must have been a really good year 🙂 I would have to agree with Cindy on which block is yours. Hoping over to OLFA to check out the QAL.
What a fun quilt! I think I have your block picked out so I’ll wait to see if I got it right. 🙂 The border on the quilt is fun with the rotary cutters highlighted on it.
Hello Yvonne, I hope my guess is right but will wait and see. If I were you, I would feel such an honor at being a part of this history quilt. In 5o years, 100 years from now quilters will be admiring this quilt and wanting to find out more about the individual quilters who made a block. That is just such a fantastic project to be involved in. I am glad that they chose you. Thank you for sharing and have a marvelous day!
Fun! What would we do without our rotary cutters? 😉 I was going to guess the airplane block was yours. or the mountains. We’ll see! 😉
What a great honor to be a part of this quilt! There are 3 that strike me as you: 2-1; 2-6; and 5-5.
I’m having a hard time wrapping my brain around 40 years of rotary cutters! It’s amazing!!!
I think I know which one is yours, so happy they chose you to play along!
What a fun quilt! I look forward to seeing your block!
Fun! I have a guess as to your block 🙂 Looking forward to seeing if I’m right.
Not sure I’m going to have time to play along with this QAL. Too many things on the go. But I’ll be watching from the sidelines.
I’m thinking you did the block with the jet?!?
I’d never have guessed rotary cutters had been around so long (though my idea of time because more warped the older I get). It’s a great quilt and a lovely way to celebrate.
I’m guessing the airplane is your block 🙂 Congratulations on being part of such a fun quilt!
No question which block is yours. 🙂 It’s the airplane!
