I created the Octangle quilt pattern as my 2018 Patreon pattern, and as such it was only available to those who signed up to support me via Patreon for $1 or more per month. Today, I’m excited to get to reveal the quilt, pattern, and details about the design with you!

Octangle Quilt
I based the design for Octangle on the desire to use up a FQ bundle that I had curated for the Fat Quarter Shop.

Quilting Jetgirl Designer Bundle
The bundle is no longer available from the Fat Quarter Shop, but 7 of the bundle fabrics are still available:
- Savannah (Gingiber) – 48227-23
- Savannah (Gingiber) – 48227-22
- Savannah (Gingiber) – 48225-21
- Savannah (Gingiber) – 48224-16
- Arroyo (Erin Dollar) – 16880-62
- Arroyo (Erin Dollar) – 16880-146
- Arroyo (Erin Dollar) – 16877-116

Octangle – Scrappy Mockup
I separated my selected 12 fat quarters into 6 cool and 6 warm colors to achieve the cool to warm transition for the sample lap size quilt. If you are interested in achieving a cool to warm or other half and half version (such as the top in one color and the bottom a second color), the pattern has details on how to achieve that. When selecting your fabric for the quilt, be sure to select half of the fat quarters for the “top” and half of the fat quarters for the “bottom”. Never fear, the pattern can be equally stunning created in a more scrappy manner, as shown above!

Octangle Size Options: Baby, Lap, Queen, and Lap Scrappy
The Octangle digital quilt pattern is now available for sale in my Quilting Jetgirl shop, and tomorrow I get to reveal my 2019 Patreon pattern quilt. I look forward to sharing it with you soon!
The mix of warm and cools colors adds so much energy. The star formed in the negative space of the baby baby version is so cool!
I like the idea that it could be made scrappy and still be stunning. Well done Yvonne!
This is such a fun quilt and block! Definitely going on the wishlist.
As always, a beautiful design. ❤️ Love the colors!
Love your use of the warm and cool colors. Such a striking design!
What a great design, Yvonne! I can’t decide if I like it better scrappy or with the warm and cool separated 🙂
This is striking Yvonne. You have a great style of design and this is another winner.
What an interesting design! Love seeing the two versions.
I really like this!
Its a beauty! I love the center motif in the baby quilt and the way that space changes with each size change.
That is such a pretty quilt!
I love the scrappiness of this design. It’s a stunner!
Oooh…another great pattern. A great scrappy quilt.
