I think it’s no surprise that I adore Cheryl from Meadow Mist Designs (she is an amazing quilter and friend). Cheryl is hosting the 4th annual Best of… yearly linkup party where we get an opportunity to highlight our “best” 5 posts from 2018. There are no rules on how to define what the “best” posts are, and golly it was hard for me this year (I really did consider completely breaking the rules and doing 5 categories of best 5)! I promise I did limit myself to only 5.
Most Popular Blog Post
The Wayward Transparency Quilt Along Finish Link Up was my most viewed blog post of the year. And with 106 beautiful versions of the pattern linked up, I can see why it has so many views! I’m thrilled with the success of the Quilt Along and how many participants created stunning versions of the pattern.
Most Viewed Blog Hop Post
I could not wait to participate in the Modern Plus Sign Quilts book blog hop to celebrate the publication of Cheryl Brickey (Meadow Mist Designs) and Paige Alexander (Quilted Blooms)’s first published quilting book. I chose to make the Kaleidoscope Plus quilt using Kona Cotton Ocean, Astral, Lake, and Sky. I am so happy to snuggle under this quilt on my bed every night!
Most Popular Tutorial
The most popular tutorial that I published this year was my Quilt Photography Tool Tutorial. It has been a handy addition to my quilt photography repertoire.
Most Popular Quilt Pattern Release
Based on the number of sales, my most popular pattern release in 2018 was the Mod Star Tree pattern. So, if you are not ready for the 2018 Christmas season to be over, now might be a good time to start the Mod Star Tree quilt! 🎄
My Favorite Finish
My favorite finish for the year is See Right Through Me. It was a challenging piecing technique that I found more engaging and exciting the more I fine tuned it. And I just love how graphic the two color quilt finished!
Thanks for stopping by my blog! If you are curious, below are links to my previous Best of… blog posts.
I hope you will visit Cheryl’s Best of 2018 linkup post and see all the other amazing quilters summarizing the highlights of their year.
