2018 Aurifil BOM- December

Amy Sinibaldi wraps up the 2018 Aurifil BOM series with her block, Roman Square, and I am sneaking in finishing my block near the very end of a very full month! I am happy to say that I was able to use orange for the block, just as I was hoping.

It was a delight to be a designer this year, and I look forward to seeing how Pat Sloan sets all the blocks. I will probably wait a few months before deciding how I am going to finish my grouping of 12 blocks.

When I saw the first block photo I thought it was a whole quilt – it totally could be! Congrats on finishing up the year of blocks!

Hello Yvonne, This is an amazing block and your fabric choices are amazing! You are such an inspiring quilt designer and always set such an exceptional example in the role of setting guidelines to follow and fulfill. Yet at the same time, you are never judgmental of anyone. Thank you for sharing whole heartedly of your quilting designs and ideas! I look forward to the seeing what the new year brings forth for you and Michael in your travels and in your quilting journeys also! Have a marvelous day, Yvonne!

Yeah for orange!! Your blocks look great.

  7. The orange works so well with this block. It will interesting to see how you choose to arrange these very different blocks. Maybe an on-point diamond grid? Take care, Mary.
