Today the Splendid Sampler II sew-along block is designed by none other than Pat Sloan. (Pat Sloan and Jane Davidson are the co-authors of Splendid Sampler and Splendid Sampler 2.)
Radio Waves comes together quickly and I used the larger pieces within the block as places to feature more of the fun prints I selected.
I am very happy with how my blocks are coming together.
The real fun is about to begin! The sew along, which started on June 14th, releases 20 of The Splendid Sampler 2 blocks for free. The last free block will be released next week on November 1st. To continue the sew along fun, be sure to get your copy of The Splendid Sampler 2 to be ready to sew the other blocks from the book beginning on November 8th. Stay tuned for more details, as I will still be sewing along and making a few more blocks, too.

The fussy cutting on this block is absolutely out of this world! (Hope you like my space phrase.) You’ve taken a somewhat interesting block, but made it more so, with your fabric choices as well as the cutting you did. Bravo!
What fun fabric! I don’t usually care for gold but it looks great in this one. The fussy cutting is really cool.
Hello Yvonne, This block is spectacular with the choices that you made in choosing your fabrics and the fussy cutting that you also did. All of your choices made this block turn out magnificent! Thank you for sharing and have a splendid day!
Coming along just beautifully and know what? They match your rotary cutter! 🙂
Perfect fussy cutting!
Your blocks are really looking good together!
As everyone has already said love the fussy cutting! I think your blocks are going to make a great quilt, those fabrics yum.
That is going to be such a fun quilt. Love your astronaut (cat-ronaut?) center!
You couldn’t get much cuter than that block! Love the fussy cut center!
All of your blocks look so beautiful Yvonne. The fabric choices are great.
I love this block – especially the fussy cut center. Just perfect.
I liked the colours for these blocks all along, but seeing them together here really emphasises what a lovely group they are.
Your blocks are wonderful!! this is going to look so great!
I love this block! I’m planning to do several quilts that have fussy cut centers, and I’m going to have to add this block to my Pinterest Fussy Cut board.
