I had the opportunity to receive the August Quilty Box for review, and I have to admit that I was excited to see how this subscription box works!

August Quilty Box
Quilty Box is a monthly subscription box of fun quilting supplies. Each month, 4 or more products (fabric, patterns, thread, or notions) are included. The retail value of the products in the box is always more than $60, and the value breakdown is included on the featured artist insert inside the box.

The Featured Artist for August was Sarah Watson, and in addition to a quilt pattern from Sarah, there was a 4 fat quarter and 1 yard cut fabric bundle from Sarah’s Terrestrial fabric line for Cloud9 Fabrics. I definitely appreciated the 1 yard cut included in the bundle!

Also included for August was a 50wt small spool of Aurifil thread in 2312 and the 6″ x 24″ fold away ruler by The Quilter’s Mercantile, which folds down to 6″ x 12″ making it great for tucking away for travel (which I am looking forward to testing out!).

I learned that 5% of the profits of multi-month subscriptions are donated to Quilts for Kids, a non-profit which donates quilts for children in need. September’s Quilty Box Featured Artist will be Flaurie and Finch, and it will ship around September 11th. Purchase before September 10th to receive this shipment! If you are interested to learn more about Quilty Box, visit the Quilty Box website (psst, if you scroll down the home page and sign up for their newsletter, you can get a new subscriber $10 off coupon!).

I always wonder whats in these boxes! Thanks for sharing! I like surprises, but it scares me when I don’t have a clue what I’m getting!
I love the idea of these boxes – not so much the accumulating. It looks to be a terrific collection; I hope you enjoy it.
Wish I could afford the monthly subscription, once I get my money house in order, that will be an item at the top of my list.
What a fun box, I have never seen a larger ruler that folds, very cool!
Very fun box of goodies!
I like Sarah Watson and this looks like a good selection. A folding ruler sounds very useful too.
Interesting to see inside one. I did know about the charitable side of this one. Did not know about the foldable ruler, cool!
