I stalled out on doing Giveaway Friday at the end of May due to an increase in behind-the-scenes work that was needed to host the Tips and Tutorials Festival and the #2018MidYearReview. Now that those events are over, I am happy to pick back up where I left off.
As my husband and I continue to work on Wabi-Sabi Overland, I occasionally have moments where I see myself in a different light. Maybe this will happen more to me with quilting as I begin to teach and see people in person more frequently, but right now most of my days are spent alone doing online work or quilting. Having my husband work with me in the evening and getting a glimpse of myself from his perspective, like in the photo above, is an interesting dynamic. For instance, I don’t think anything of all the beaded bracelets, hair bands, and other assorted bracelets that I wear on my wrists. Looking at the photo above, I really notice them, though. Each item has significance and meaning to me. My husband jokes that one day a strand is going to break and we’ll be picking up thousands of tiny beads. I tend to think that if/when that happens I might just replace them with tattoos(!!??).
Today I am giving away (1) Love Patchwork & Quilting Issue 45, (1) Love Patchwork & Quilting Issue 50, and (1) Love Patchwork & Quilting Issue 53. I will ship to any US address, but if you are an international follower, I don’t want to leave you out. So if someone internationally wins, they will get their selection of 1 PDF pattern from my shop.
To enter, use the Rafflecopter widget below. The giveaway is open until Sunday, July 22nd, at 9pm Eastern. By entering, you acknowledge that you are 18 years of age or older. Winners will be randomly selected and emailed. To claim your prize, you will have 48 hours to reply via email or a new winner will be selected. Good luck!
*Note that I try to reply to every comment I receive, but the volume of comments on giveaway posts are too much for me to respond to everyone individually.

Yes, I wear a necklace almost every day that my husband gave me after a particularly challenging period in our lives. It reminds me that we made it through that rough patch, and gives me hope that we’ll make it through whatever challenges lie ahead of us.
i used to have earrings and a bracelet, but it’s gotten to hot as i’ve gotten older so now i don’t ware them anymore!
After my Mom died, my Dad had the diamonds from her tennis bracelet made into bracelets for my sisters and I. So that bracelet has special meaning for me, but it’s fancier than something I would wear everyday, so I wear it only when I get dressed up. The only jewelry I wear all the time are my wedding/engagement/anniversary rings.
I don’t wear jewelry at all (other than m6 wedding band and a pair of earrings)…..no principle behind it just a matter of habit and convenience….
I have rosary beads that I made after my husband passed away from all the roses at the funeral. It was a long process. They must be dried, crushed, and cooked down, before they can be rolled into beads. They resemble a lava bead, but become much smoother over time. They are my daily go to accessory. I have been able to share the beauty of making them with others just from them asking what type of bread my necklaces and bracelets were.
Thanks for the opportunity!
I actually do have a tatoo on my inner left wrist-:)
I love earrings but don’t wear a pair except on Sundays….I like your bracelets and hope they never break….not a big fan of tattoos.
I had to look up Korapop…that’s not your average caulking. I’d love for LPQ to head my way! Thanks!
I always wear my engagement ring and wedding band plus a ring my husband gave me when our first daughter was born.
I wear my wedding ring and a necklace my husband gave me when my first son was born.
I wear some stud earrings my husband gave me for our first wedding anniversary.
My wedding ring is priceless to me. I also feel blessed to own and wear a ring that has the birthstones to represent each family member in it. My parents gave one to my grandmother that had their December stone, my May stone and my brothers August stone in it. It is an extra special inheritance because it fits my own little family perfectly. May stone for me, December stone for my husband AND. August stone for my son!
Earrings for me. Beaded bracelets really are nice. There are so many gorgeous beads.
Actually love your beaded bracelets. I’m a silver girl. I usually stack at least 2-3 on my wrist.
The only thing I absolutely need to wear is my watch.
Unfortunately ( or unfortunately) I happen to be allergic to the metals they put in jewelry. My wedding ring was the right ‘gold’. Any other kind of jewelry – beads, etc., can’t wear because the clasps are not of gold. Guess that can be a good thing. Thanks.
I wear two necklaces my husband gave me for anniversaries. Can’t wear wedding ring as hand surgery made my fingers bigger.
It’s been months since I put earrings on. I hope those holes didn’t grow shut! I also don’t wear my wedding ring. I took it off many years ago when I was teaching as the large diamond had scratched someone and I was asked to remove it and now it doesn’t fit anymore. I have lots of necklaces and bracelets leftover from my working days. Maybe I should downsize them.
I wear very little jewelry. Love your bracelets though. Nothing wrong with a tattoo.
I wear beaded earrings every day, some I made and some I bought from other crafters. One special pair was made by a quilting friend!
I like the bracelets, Yvonne. My favorite is my charm bracelet with only a sewing machine charm on it. I wear it all the time.
I wear very little jewelry anymore due to hot flashes, most days it’s just a simple pair of earrings and my wedding ring.
I wear my wedding ring and a ring that belonged to my mother (set with diamonds from my grandmother’s wedding ring).
I don’t really wear jewelry either. However, I used to wear a charm bracelet all the time. I now look at it frequently and remember who gave me what. PS I love your beaded bracelets. Reminds me of my youth when I made hundreds.
Bracelets are colorful and add such a dimension….. Go ahead. If one breaks, pick up the beads! You might regret not doing it!
I wear certain jewelry everyday & they always come with a personal meaning for me! I love beads- bracelets & necklaces – so far none have broken! Lucky me!
Although my ears are pierced, I try to keep jewelry to a minimum just until my darling grandson is a bit older and not inclined to pull on everything he sees. For now my jewelry consists of a black hills gold ring I received on my 16th birthday.
Other than my wedding/engagement rings, I have a new set of earrings and a necklace in the “love knot” style that my husband bought me for Christmas last year that I have been wearing almost every day for the last 8 months. They are simple and stylish and go with everything. 😀
Odd, but I seldom wear jewelry. I somehow feel it is in my way.
The only thing I wear daily is my watch, and there is no special meaning to it except it reminds me of when I was teaching special needs high school (behavior disorder) and I HAD to wear my watch. One time I let the students out early because I looked at the wall clock and had not realized the students had changed the wall clock. We had a 5 min. warning bell and the release bell, and I let them out at the warning bell.
I don’t wear jewelry at all…just a watch. Used to wear some before I retired. When grandbabies came along and were pulling at things, I put them away and haven’t really gone back. But I notice other people’s jewelry and we talk about what draws them to particular pieces.
I always wear earrings and my medical alert bracelet. Sometimes, it depends on where we are going, I may wear a bracelet to match the earrings.
I love your bracelets!! I think they would make fantastic tattoos!! I also wear multiples and don’t think about them. I would love to see this Mag. in person. I hear such great things about it!
My wedding ring!
I wear my wedding rings and a thin gold necklace with a teardrop shaped diamond pendant…both given by my husband!!! They are part of me!! Guess I could consider a tat!!
I work as a nurse now so I have had to limit my daily jewelry wearing. So a Fitbit and my wedding ring is my new standard for my arms. I do have a necklace that I wear most days that is a diamond four leaf clover that opens up and converts into a row of four hearts. I can wear it either way but I tend to wear the clover for luck!
I do wear some jewelry but nothing too heavy or dangly. I especially enjoy some that were given to me by family.
No, I don’t wear much and don’t have much with any significance
I love jewelry but keep it smaller scale. Love bracelets as long as they don’t get in my way! Can’t feel together without my earrings & watch.
The only pieces of jewelry that I wear all the time are my gold wedding band which my husband made and engraved for me and a watch that he gifted me. I do wear earrings but change them daily. I not only quilt, I bead, but don’t wear what I make. How silly is that! Thanks for the chance to win the magazines.
I don’t, I mean other than my wedding set(oops!)! But it did remind me that I used to wear a locket my husband bought me after out daughter was born. I stopped wearing it when my second child started yanking on it a little too hard, lol.
No jewelry that I wear all the time, but I do have a pair of blue glass handmade earrings that hubby bought me when he went on a trip to New York. I think of the stories he told about me about the trip whenever I wear them.
My whole life I worked in at a job where no jewelry was allowed. Just got used to that so I have never changed.
I love the idea of jewelry and bangles etc but in fact I wear nothing, I think that is just my personality! I like yours though on you!
My wedding and engagement rings are the only jewelry I always wear.
My husband passed away 2 years ago and he gave me a cross necklace and I always wear it and my wedding rings. I have plenty of jewelry but I have sensitive skin due to lupus so I don’t wear any other than those .
I’m glad to hear you can laugh at your picture with your husband. I admire that trait in a woman. I hate an current picture of myself because that is not me in my mind. I hope this goes through since I am having problems with sending comments.
I have two small chamsah charms on a chain round my neck that never come off and my wedding ring. I love this photo of you, immersed in what you are doing and like all your bracelets a lot. I think tattoos would look pretty cool too.
I wear no jewelry at all. I own some, I just never wear it.
My wrists are usually my one jewellery-free zone. If those beads break, I vote for more beads rather than a tattoo – prettier colours and the option to take them off in ten years if you decide to wear something else instead!
