My husband and I will be downsizing our living accommodations a few times over the next year to year and a half. We have already been doing a lot of work to remove clutter, but it’s an ongoing process. Last weekend we spent time on our long term storage closet, and I came away with a stack of magazines that I will not have room to keep in the future. As there is no point in recycling these pristine magazines, I am going to host a series of giveaways to spread around the quilting inspiration.
In addition to the giveaways that I will be hosting, I have also listed many of my finished quilts for sale in my shop. I would love for them to find homes where they will be used, loved, and enjoyed!
Today, I have 4 Quiltmaker’s 100 Blocks Volume 14 magazines to give away. I will ship to any US address, but if you are an international follower, I don’t want to leave you out. So if someone internationally wins, they will get their selection of 1 PDF pattern from my shop.
To enter, use the Rafflecopter widget below. The giveaway is open until Sunday, May 6th, at 9pm Eastern. By entering, you acknowledge that you are 18 years of age or older. Winners will be randomly selected and emailed. To claim your prize, you will have 48 hours to reply via email or a new winner will be selected. Good luck!
My favorite block is any star blocks love them all.
Downsizing can be a pain yet it can also be useful. I learned the hard way that it’s easier to downsize before moving. I wish you the best in selling your quilts. Each would make a welcome addition to someone else’s home.
I lover all of the star blocks.
My favorite block is whatever I’m working on at the time. 🙂
Downsizing, a word I dread, and Hugh loves. Clean out some of that “stuff” he keeps saying, even though we are not moving yet.I am sure each quilt will be so loved wherever it goes.
My favourite block would be a Mariner’s Compass, not paper pieced, but using freezer paper.
I’m on a solo mission to declutter in my house – doing my best to drag G along with me but with 4 sofas, quilt items and all of his computer bits and bobs I’m up against it! Thanks for your generosity sharing the goodies!
I don’t have a favorite, I love them all! Today it is a Dresden.
I’m still decluttering after I moved almost 2 years ago- I didn’t do enough before I moved. My favorite block is cathedral windows.
it’s kind of like my favorite season, in the spring, i love spring, in the summer, summer, fall, fall and winter i love winter. i guess i just love quilting, no matter what!!!
i always try to get rid of the accumulated “stuff”, when i’m in a bad mood. thats when i’m able to part with more!!! have fun.it can be kind of freeing.

I have been destashing for several weeks now but I have a LONG way to go.
Good luck on your downsizing efforts! Stuff tends to sneak into places like a storage closet. I am working with my daughter to de-clutter the remaining treasures from her room since she moved into her own home years ago! The blocks looks interesting. Thank you for sharing.
My favorite quilt block is anything with 1/2 square triangles.
I love star quilts.. so I would say my favorite block is the Ohio Star.
Doesn’t it feel good to get rid of excess clutter?! I love purging every 3 months or so and am always surprised how much stuff we accumulate. I’m really into living on less and trying to buy only what I absolutely need…with the only exception being fabric – ha!! But even there, I’m trying to keep it to the one cabinet. Good luck with all the downsizing!
The log cabin blocks and pineapple blocks both equally share a place in my heart. There are so many variations, and color is such an important key. PS…..I loved the wayward transparency quilt along, I have everything gathered to finally start mine really soon! Thanks for all the inspiration!
I like the dresden plate block. Hope you share some of your decluttering process in the blog to motivate people like me who are holding onto stuff.
Thanks for the giveaway. Downsizing is a chalk!
Downsizing is a challenge! My favorite block is “ Hole in the Barn Door”.
A very hard job, this de-cluttering. One of those things you hate while you are doing it, but feel so happy about when it’s done. Thanks for bringing up the subject. Nice to have company in this mission.
It’s an ongoing battle for me–staying ahead of the clutter. Somehow, things manage to sneak in and settle in, but getting rid of clutter is so satisfying.
I love the Pineapple Block! It’s so pretty and versatile with fabric choices. Thank you! =}
I love them all. haha. But, i think a star block is my favourite – any type of star. Thanks for the declutter!!
I, too, hope you share some of your decluttering process… I *really* need the inspiration!
My favorite block??… I love too many, to pick just one!
(Cathedral, stars, log cabin types, trip arounds, disappearing types… just to name a few top favorites!)
Pat
What a great giveaway!
Good luck sorting!
Any sort of star block is my favorite!
Don’t like downsizing – last time I did was about ten years ago and know I have to do it again – UGH!! Good luck!
My favorite quilt block is and always shall be the log cabin block.
You can turn it, twist it about anything and you create a whole different look. And use unexpected colors is always a way to get a different view.
Thank you for this opportunity!!
Oh no more blue bedroom for quilt back drops ! But a whole new background to come ! This is a comment , not an entry !
My all time favorite block is the Dresden Plate.
I really like the bear paw
I love star blocks!
I like the 3-D effect ,so I like various block formations.

My favorite quilt block is probably Memory which is a star block. Stars of all kinds are my faves!
Love doing EPP stars. Did major downsize 2 years ago. Now need to purge some again
I love 100 blocks!
My favorite quilt block is any that I finish 🙂 while I’ve done my fair share of quilting, I still feel so new to it and have so many blocks I’ve never tried.
Downsizing can be painful when going through it, but a relief when it’s done. I hope it goes well!
As far as favorite quilt block – I’m not sure! So many to choose from!
I love log cabin or courthouse step blocks (skinny strips of course).
My favorite block is one that measures and squares up accurately – a constant struggle no matter how careful and slow I piece. Best of luck with your downsizing.
I tried to leave a comment on the give away site. I did something wrong and it said I left a comment when I didn’t, then it wouldn’t let me back in to actually leave s comment. So I’m leaving one here! My favorite this week is flying geese.
I have never met a quilt block I didn’t like…..I like the ohio star alot.
Yvonne, I hope this downsizing it something that you truly want to do…I would cherish the magazines and put them to great use. Hugs, P
I can’t pick one block. ;( Love them all at different times. Downsizing? We just move from California to Oregon and did lots of downsizing before we moved AND more once we got here. lol So hard to do!!
Simple go to is HST along with hourglass
I love most blocks – I’ll try anything once!
I don’t have a favorite block. I tend to make most only once. Hope no tears are shed during the downsizing!
Raspberry Kiss Blocks and Economy blocks are currently my jam!!
