Transparent Ribbons was originally published by the Quilter’s Planner, and today it is my pleasure to release the expanded pattern which includes instructions for 6 different sizes: baby, lap, large lap, twin, queen, and king!
The twist for the Transparent Ribbons release is that there are two different quilt covers: a blue version using prints (Christa Watson’s Modern Marks line for Benartex) and a pink version using solids (Kona Cotton by Robert Kaufman).
Transparent Ribbons uses overlapping shapes to explore fabric value and transparency techniques. The way the blocks relate to one another creates rippling chains, like a swirling candy ribbon.
What colors would you make this in? Would you use solids or prints or a combination of the two?
So, which version would you choose?
You can vote with your purchase or let me know in the comments!
To celebrate the Transparent Ribbons pattern release, it will be on sale for $8 through April 26th.
