I have been looking forward to sharing this curated blogger bundle with you for over a month! Bernie from Needle and Foot reached out to see if I would curate a 5 or 6-piece fat quarter bundle of fabric from her Needle and Foot Etsy shop, and I was thrilled at the opportunity. Knowing that I would get to share this bundle so close to spring, I used the general notion of spring as my inspiration. When I think of California spring time, I think of bright orange California poppies, so that was my starting point for this grouping.

March Needle and Foot Blogger Bundle by Yvonne from Quilting Jetgirl
Working clockwise around the photo and starting with the orange print in the upper left, I selected:
- Flying Birds in Rust from Dreamer, By Carrie Bloomston for Windham Fabrics
- Arrows on Pink from Modern Tyke by Kim Diehl for Henry Glass
- Terra Firma Sunlit-Garden Dreamer by Maureen Cracknell for Art Gallery Fabric
- Dash in Green from Dreamer, By Carrie Bloomston for Windham Fabrics
- Happy Streamers – Fiesta Fun by Dana Willard for Art Gallery Fabric
- Pinata Confetti – Fiesta Fun, Multi Color Polka Dots by Art Gallery Fabric

March Blogger Bundle Buster
It turns out that 6 fat quarters is the perfect amount of fabric to make a 40-inch square baby quilt using my Bundle Buster pattern! The quilt top came together quickly and I was even able to get it quilted, bound, and get some photographs of the finished quilt just before much needed rain came to our area. We haven’t had much moisture yet this winter, although you can see a bit of snow from last weekend on the surrounding mountain just behind the quilt in this photo.

March Blogger Bundle Buster
As a result, only grass that has been watered (like in the park) is green right now and the only flower I could find to photograph with the quilt was this yellow dandelion, which still manages to look lovely next to the quilt.

March Blogger Bundle Buster
The branch of this tree looked like it was asking to hold up the quilt for me!

March Blogger Bundle Buster
I was able to stretch a yard of some Lizzy House Pearl Bracelets to become the backing by inserting the 2 leftover pieces of the fat quarter bundle that were not needed to piece the quilt top and a scrap of another Lizzy House Pearl Bracelet print.

March Blogger Bundle Buster
I used 50wt Aurifil 4650 (Leaves), which is a variegated thread, to quilt an all over rounded boxy meander.

March Blogger Bundle Buster
If you had these 6 fat quarters, what would you use them for? If you are as excited about this bundle as I was, you can purchase the March Blogger Bundle now from Bernie!

Needle and Foot has so many wonderful fabrics it’s hard to choose, but I finally decided on Kohkhloma Burgundia by Pat Bravo.
I really like the Smarty Cats bundle, over at Needle and Foot’s Etsy shop.
Great choices. I especially like the arrows and the streamers fabric. I would probable make a baby quilt also.
I love your bundle buster pattern. I have some “treasured” fabric that might jump the stash for this one! Thanks to you and Bernie for the chance to win a (replacement) bundle!
And…My favorite fabric in Bernie’s shop is Save the Bees. Because. Well. Bees and green…
Dash in Green is my favorite in the giveaway bundle-=love green/purple combo
Sea Turtles in Turquoise Batik definitely caught my eye. So beautiful for sure!
I love the Floral Batik in Cream and Black.
I love the bundle you put together, what wonderful bright & fun colors! My favorite – Turtles in Turquoise Blue, Batik by Michael Miller – how fun & a great color!
Those neutral birds on the bright orange are really great. I’d love to read all the text up close!
Loving that bundle of polka dots fabric! Your quite looks wonderful.
I love the Floral Batik in Cream and Black made by Island Batik.
Love the bundle Yvonne! They all play together so well.
It’s hard to pick just one but the twisted streamers would have to be it – followed closely by arrows. Thanks.
Beautiful fabrics and who doesn’t like fabric? I really like “twinkle star” such a fun name and gorgeous fabric!
pokadots, bundle of 10 pieces
I love the color in this bundle. The little feathery arrows by Kim are my favorite.
Very bright, very fun! Perfect for the start of spring.
Pinata Confetti – I like those multi color polka dots!
I am really drawn to the streamers fabric in your bundle — I think it would be a super fun binding!
I am loving this bundle! Those colors just pop together and make the perfect little baby quilt, just waiting for a little one to enjoy the spring sun and warm breezes. Bernie has a fun Michael Miller fabric called Sassy Cat in blue. I think it would make for a super fun quilt backing.
It’s so hard to pick just one! Atomic Web in Blue , from Sassy Cat line, Michael Miller Fabric
Sunshine in Grey Skies by Alison Glass
I love your bundle! Since I’m in “sewing for children” mode right now I especially like Children at Play from Wee Play, by Red Rooster!
Twinklestar Berry by Maureen Cracknell for Art Gallery Fabrics is my favorite in Bernie’s shop. The entire Garden Dreamer line is fantastic, but this is my favorite.
Trojkat Sunrise by Pat Bravo is my favorite in Bernie’s shop.
Yvonne I love your bright, sunny “Poppy” inspired quilt. It’s stunning!
That little dandelion loves it too.
Calico Cats on White, Michael Miller Fabric
I’m eyeing that newsprint backing!
Smarty cats is perfect for my daughter!
Alphabet in white, Wordplay by Sarah Fielke. Your quilt turned out really cute and the pattern looks like it uses a bundle efficiently!
Love the colors. Quilt looks great and easy.
I like the first one listed, the orange with birds (to me they look like plus signs). I would add them to a project I’m currently working on that uses plus signs. Thank you and Bernie for the chance to win.
I like you March Blogger bundle.. but lots of fun different fabrics offered.
I like the Sea Turtles in Turquoise batik
so many to choose from. LOL i really like Sea Turtles in Turquoise Blue,

I like the meriweather or priory square bundles. Pretty pretty fabric
Yvonne, your bundle is such a pretty combination of cheerful fabrics! I’d make a set of placemats for outdoor dining this summer. We love eating on our deck overlooking a pond. My favorite from Bernie’s shop is Arrows on Pink from Modern Tyke by Kim Diehl for Henry Glass….another cheery fabric!
Yvonne, Thank you again for participating in the Blogger Bundle series. The quilt you made is wonderful and bright. I bought the Bundle Buster pattern when you first released it and sort of forgot it was in my pattern collection. It is a great way to use a bundle and to make something with large scale fabrics too. I need to make use of the pattern!!
What a colorful selection! My favorite is the Pina Colada dots! I can think of hundreds of ways to use that!
Love the Newsprint fabric.
I like the Smarty Cats bundle.
I saw many that I liked. I guess I will say Allisa in Slate.
I think the wide Newsprint has to be the most useful, and I can never keep enough of it!
Homespun in blue and green would be terrific for bindings, cut on the bias!
I like grid paper in green
I’m really enjoying that confetti print you picked from her shop!
Beautiful bundle, Yvonne, and a beautiful quilt. I love your photography. Your photos really set off the spring colors of this bundle. A baby quilt sounds like the perfect use for this bundle and the quilt would be donated to a local organization that provides quilts to newborns whose parents are need.
I’m loving the Flying Birds fabric by Carrie Bloomston. It would look great in an upcoming red plus quilt I’m planning
My favorite fabric in the shop is Capsules Campsite by Art Gallery Fabrics. Have a great day! angielovesgary2 atgmail dotcom
You chose beat colours, but the photo shoot is the best, hanging off a droopy branch. On a rock, and folded neatly.
