On February 5th, I had one of my Patreon’s unlock the mini mini quilt reward. The patron told me to follow my current muse and inspiration but noted that their favorite quilt I have made is Beacon. They like the colors, shapes, vibe, etc. Well, I really love Beacon, too, so I dove in and created a Beacon mini mini quilt.
I still had all the same colors of fabric – Kona Cotton in Nautical, White, and Flame – and Aurifil – 2784 (Dark Navy), 2024 (White), and 1104 (Neon Orange). I barely had enough of the Dark Navy thread for the quilting and binding, but I was able to get it finished without running out!
As you can see above, the mini mini quilt is mini indeed! It finishes at 4.75-inches square. It is not a direct copy of Beacon, but a simplified version of the design.
I kept the most important pop of orange accent in both the piecing, quilting, and binding for the mini mini quilt.
The mini mini quilt is in the mail, and I am celebrating this small finish by linking up with Finish it Friday.
