I am really excited and looking forward to visiting with the Valley Modern Quilt Guild in June!
On Saturday, June 30th, I will do an all day Triangle Transparency workshop. In the workshop, I discuss how to evaluate fabric choices for transparency overlay and how the visual relationship between different colors, print sizes, and tones can be balanced in your quilts. I also offer insights into precision piecing and how to work with directional prints.
In preparation for the workshop, at the Monday, June 25th, Valley Modern Quilt Guild meeting, I will combine some Transparency Color Selection Tips and Tricks with a Trunk Show. For members who have signed up for the workshop, I would love to discuss fabric selection for the Saturday class after the meeting is over if there are any questions.
So, if you are a Valley Modern Quilt Guild member, I am super excited about getting to spend time with you later this year. If you or your guild is interested in having me teach for you, I am booking one event a month and you can visit my Teaching page and email me (yvonne(at)quiltingjetgirl(dot)com) for details!
Sounds like fun, wish I was near by!
How lovely for those able to take your class!
That’s fantastic!!
This will be a very successful class and they will love it!
Hello Yvonne; What a fun and exciting time you and the class members will have! You know I would take a class from you in a minute if it were close enough. Someday, that will happen! Until then, you have a great time with teaching your classes and making new friends! Have a great day!
Woowoo!! I would totally come if I was closer!
Yvonne, when you quilted this, did you quilt diagonal lines in one direction and then in the opposite direction? Any tips on quilting would be appreciated as I have not done much quilting yet. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks
This is an even more wonderful elaboration of your Wayward quilt! I love the depth, depth, depth of this one. How wonderful that quilters are getting to take your workshop!
Sounds awesome! I wish I was local!
Stunning quilt – it sounds like it will be a great class!
