Interesting to look back, but wonderful to look forward. Gearing my post ready!
Perfect timing! It’s time to clean house & get ready for next year. 🙂
Where did 2017 go?? This is a great idea. And those are awesome prizes from the sponsors.
I love your Planning Party Yvonne, thank you for hosting. Sometimes I think we throw ourselves into what we want to do without thinking of what we can do, writhing it down gives me a solid plan for the way forward. Time for me to sit down and reflect on the year past and the year to come. Merry Christmas and very Best Wishes for your plans for 2018.
Been looking forward to this. It is so much fun to read everyone’s goals and plans. Working on my post. Already added the button to my blog sidebar.
I’ve been working on cleaning out my sewing room–destashing/donating sooo much fabric, books, rulers, etc., for a fresh start in 2018. I think the Planning Party is an excellent idea and an accountability partner is a GREAT idea.
Thanks for having a party, Yvonne! It got me thinking about what I needed to do to get ready for six months of quilting while cruising out of the country aboard our boat. Now I have my goals all lined up 🙂
Looking at what worked and what didn’t is a big help to getting better each year. I used last year’s ambitions to make some big changes in the sewing room. Hopefully this year I can go farther and actually do something about the stash and the UFO list. Thanks for hosting the party again this year.
Hello Yvonne; Seems I somehow missed another very important post from you. Luckily, Carole from My Carolina Home (whom I also follow) posted today about her goals and joining in! Thankfully, I have a new used Lap Top and am learning to use it. With my main goal as setting up my blog and beginning to post once again! Later on this evening, I will try and get all set up for this and hopefully accomplish the link up also. Thank you for this great support!
I really appreciate that you host this, Yvonne! I am trying to be realistic about my plans, but I do find it motivating to look ahead and give some thought to what I want to accomplish this year, even if it will more than likely be pretty low-key. Actually one of my goals is to continue to prioritize making for the sake of making and if I can manage that, I will consider the year a success.
My grandchildren spent the 2016-2017 school year in Southern California and I liked to mail things to them. One thing my older granddaughter enjoyed was the Sunday paper funnies. I also made her 35 little Valentine drawstring bags to put her Valentine treats in for her classmates and teachers. They were very well received by the kids. I need to get started on them now! Anyway I enjoyed putting together little packages for them when they lived so far away. So grateful they are local again! I think it’s wonderful you want to do the same type of thing for your nieces. Happy New Year!
So happy I ordered the planner! Looking forward to a more organized year!
Great idea linking for support throughout the year. I attempted to “grab the button” to add to my blog but when I added it, it said site could not be found. So I linked to the blogpost instead. Looking forward to reading your posts this coming year.
I bought a plain old calendar last year and listed all the things I started over the years and wanted to finish. As the year went by i had a list of what to work on. I’m sort of proud to say i managed to cross off a couple of them I plan on doing the same this year and hopefully do much better. thanks for your inspiration.
Thank you, Yvonne, for a great Link Up and a chance to share our goals. The older I get, the more I realize how important it is to actually write them down.
Yvonne – can I link up with a Flickr post?
Happy New Year to you!
I really would like to join the planning party but cannot “grab the button” Help!
Loving reading through some of these 🙂 I haven’t got my 2018 plan sorted yet, though I am starting to get things together. Wishing everyone a great 2018 with lots of enjoyable sewing 🙂
It’s great that so many people have linked up. Here’s to a wonderful 2018!!!
I can’t believe I missed the party by 55 minutes!!!! I discovered your blog group earlier today when exploring the features of my Christmas present – the 2018 Quilters Planner. I have never blogged. Didn’t know how to blog. And didn’t know why I should blog. So after a long day of reflecting, researching, writing, and starting ( but not finishing) I have created my very first blog. If you’re interested, or if I could still be considered for the party, here’s the address of my new blog. StitchArtistry.blogspot.com or email me at StitchArtistry@gmail.com
This looks amazing!!! I realize I am two days late but I am going to order a planner today–it looks amazing!!! And I will follow many of the blog posts that I read today. Happy New Year.
