When Cheryl from Meadow Mist Designs released the October Magnolia Mystery QAL instructions, I was excited to get to work with Fabric B. It took me all month, but I got them done (just not shared) in October. And it’s very timely; the next set of instructions come out tomorrow!
My Fabric B is a Cotton + Steel basic, Dottie’s Cousin in Bright Plum. My Fabric C is Kona Silver, which is a very pale gray.
Sewing together these 72 units went quickly and smoothly. I definitely spent time counting and re-counting to make sure I had 36 for each direction before sewing and trimming, though!
Cheryl has me so stumped. I wonder what comes next?!?! Thankfully I don’t have long to wait to find out! 🙂
Fab fabrics together, the silver a lovely foil for the purple.
good job!
It may have taken you a month, but they look lovely.
Love the plum color! Glad to hear I wasn’t the only one double checking to make sure I had the right number of each!
I love the pink and Kona Silver combo. I’m also somewhat flummoxed by what we’ll be doing next! I have a guess, but I won’t be upset if that guess is wrong! 😀
Great fabrics. I really like the element of surprise with these mystery QALs.
Kona Silver is one of my favorites. Your combo looks good. I have mine all ready for the next step (I think I forgot to post it though). I’m curious too!
Yvonne, this is going to be so pretty! I love the C+S print.
Love the blocks and the combinations of fabrics. I’m looking for a fabric for a background for some fat eights; I’ll take a look at the silver!
Oh so pretty! Silver is so lovey with your C+S plumy pink print!
Great color selection. I, too am waiting for the next clue 🙂
Such a pretty color palate. I love the kona silver which pops the pink!
These look great!!
I love that print!!
You picked a beautiful color palette for this mystery.
I love that C&S print! It looks gorgeous paired with Kona Silver.
