::AUCTION CLOSED::Hello caring, generous friends… I am auctioning my first quilt design for @quilt.theory, the #TiledParquetQuilt (48 x 64) for the Helping Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands Auction. Feel free to bid on this quilt below (no amount is too small) and visit #HelpingPRandUSVIauction to see other items donated through the week. Please tag the previous bidder when you bid. I am asking the winner pay the winning bid as a donation to One American Appeal, linked in my profile, so funds will go to both Puerto Rico and USVI. Tiled Parquet is open to international bidders. I will cover the cost of shipping to the winner. If you think you might have something to donate, too, please check the @thequiltersplanner feed to read the guidelines. Bidding closes Tuesday, October 3rd at 8pm Eastern / 5pm Pacific. Winning bid announced Wednesday, October 4th. Tiled Parquet features @robertkaufman #KonaCotton, @quiltersdream #DreamGreen batting, and @aurifilthread. I will contact you at the end of the auction, and you will have 24 hours to provide a screenshot confirming your donation. Please tag any friends you think might want to bid on this quilt! 😘

Other Quilt Theory designers are also donating their quilts for the auction. To see everything that is available for bidding, check out the hashtag #helpingPRandUSVIauction.

Thank you so much for considering participating as either a bidder or donor.

This is such a great idea.

  2. What a lovely idea, I don’t have a smart phone so I cannot do Instagram (they won’t let me play using my laptop). Good luck with the fundraiser. We made a donation to a group locally that is sending supplies.

  3. The other day I was thinking about all the damage to those island countries and wanting to go volunteer to help rebuild or something. ThenI saw this yesterday on IG and I’m so in. I’ll get right on it. Thanks Yvonne and Stephanie and Kitty.

  4. Thank you for your generosity, Yvonne!

  5. Generosity from so many, I truly hope this is a great event, as those people need so much, right from the ground upwards. Thanks for posting all the details .

  6. This is a wonderful plan. My heart aches for those affected by natural disasters.

  8. You are such a wonderful and generous person! Both the highest bidder of the quilt and the people in the Caribbean are winners!
