It is not my nature to apologize for a pause in blogging or to complain or have excuses, but I do think it is fair to say that my life is currently full to overflowing with activity. I have definitely missed writing blog posts and being able to keep everyone up to date on what projects I am working on, and I plan to get back into a routine where I can do that very soon.
So, I am just popping in with a few quick updates today.
The Fat Quarter Shop is turning 14, and to celebrate, they are having a 14 day period of special Flash Sales! I am also celebrating Fat Quarter Shop’s recently renewed sponsorship of my blog, more details to follow on that sometime soon, too. (Note: These are non-affiliate links.)

Warm Sunburst Made by Madilyne Malone @madimalone
I received a lovely and welcome email from Madilyne sharing her recent finish of a warm version of Sunburst that she made to gift to a friend. The colors are so radiant and striking and I hope her friend enjoys the bright warmth of this quilt and thinks of her fondly and often.
One of my greatest pleasures as a quilt pattern designer is to see how my patterns are used and re-created, and I love receiving emails and sharing your work. 🙂
Until next time, know that I am working behind the scenes on lots of variations of quilting and life activities!
You have a great positive attitude, Yvonne, and you share that so easily on your blog. I hope you continue to enjoy your creative process, even if it is overflowing! I’ll look forward to hearing about what you’ve been up to in later posts! Enjoy your day!
Full to overflowing sounds like it’s busy but in a good way. I enjoyed their flash deal yesterday and picked up some fabrics with their $25 off of $100…and free shipping to boot. Now I’ll just have to find room in my closet for increased stash. –Andrea
Yvonne, thank you for the note. I hope that your activities are fun and exciting. Happy thoughts and good energy to you and yours.
You do such interesting things, I’ll be keeping an eye out for the next time you’re able to blog! Thanks for the update.
Breaks can definitely be good and help with overall balance. Take care, my friend.
