Tips and Tutorials Tuesday

Tips and Tutorials Tuesday #10

I am currently quilting away on some secret sewing and using very, very dense quilting. I have realized this might not have been the best choice for the deadline that is looming, but hopefully in the end the texture will be all worth the hard work!

Many thanks to everyone who added to the Troubleshooting Thread Breakage discussion yesterday. I have gone back and added in the additional suggestions left in the comments to the bottom of the post (with attribution) to make the extra gems of advice easier to find.

I was really excited to read Cheryl’s tips last week for Successful Domestic Ruler Quilting. She shares some really valuable and insightful tips on how to get started using a ruler with your domestic machine.

Next week I will be working to set up QuiltCon, but there will still be a Tips and Tutorials Tuesday! In the mean time, I am looking forward to seeing what you have to share this week.

  1. Yes! I loved her tips last week. I’ve been wanting to try rulers on my vintage sewing machines but had too many how questions. Her post answered a lot of them. 🙂
I cannot believe QuiltCon will be here next week!?! This year is flying by. I can’t wait to go!
