Giveaway

Fabric Giveaway! #SMSGiveawayDay

It’s a bit early for spring cleaning, but I have been going through my house and rounding up things to sell, donate, gift, and throw away for the past few weeks. As a part of that process, I have curated 3 bundles of fabric to give away today!

Each bundle completely fills a USPS medium flat rate box, so while the yellow and gray bundle might seem smaller, there is more actual yardage in that grouping! Each grouping is a variety of cuts of fabric ranging from smaller scraps to yardage. Many have chunks and odd cuts removed, but hopefully all of it will find a great use in a new home!

Before I get on to the details for how to enter (and don’t fret international friends, there is something for you as well!), I want to share a little about myself for those who might not know me well (for those that follow me and are returning, thank you!).

My name is Yvonne and I am a former aerospace engineer turned quilter, quilt pattern designer, and blogger. My tagline “Sewing at the Speed of Sound” is a nod to the fact that I was on a small team which designed, built, and tested the second privately funded aircraft to exceed the sound barrier. But don’t let the tagline fool you: we ALL sew at the speed of sound; sometimes it sounds faster than others!

I would love to tell you about three fun things I am planning and that will be coming soon to my blog:

#2017PlanningParty

2017-planning-party

I will be hosting a 2017 Planning Linky Party, much like my 2016 Planning Linky Party. The link up will open on December 15th and run through December 31st. Start thinking about your plans and goals for next year… linking up will enter you to win one of 12 fantastic prizes from the Fat Quarter Shop, Aurifil, Make Modern, Meadow Mist Designs, Sew Fresh Quilts, and Quilting Jetgirl!

#quiltingjetgirlAGchallenge

  2. Write a blog post or post an Instagram photo of your creation.
  3. Link your blog post or Instagram photo to the Make with Alison Glass Linky Party to enter to win a fat 8th bundle of 76 from the Alison Glass studio!

The linky party will open Monday, January 16th, 2017, and close on January 31, 2017. Winner will be selected via a random number generator. Submissions / entries will be limited to one entry per person and entries should be something made using Alison Glass fabric recently (in the past few months). Anyone with a blog or Instagram account is welcome to create and enter (participation in the Charm Swap is NOT a requirement)!

Now on to enter the giveaway!!

The fabric bundles are open to US residents only, and there will be (3) winners. Because I don’t want to leave out my international friends, I am also giving away (1) $50 gift certificate to a store of the winner’s choice (caveat: the store needs to sell gift certificates online) – the gift certificate giveaway is ONLY open to international residents. This giveaway starts today (Wednesday, December 7th) and will run until Sunday, December 11th at midnight EST.

Winners will be notified and must respond via email within 72 hours or they will forfeit their prize and a new winner will be selected.
