Giveaway

Fabric Giveaway! #SMSGiveawayDay

It’s a bit early for spring cleaning, but I have been going through my house and rounding up things to sell, donate, gift, and throw away for the past few weeks. As a part of that process, I have curated 3 bundles of fabric to give away today!

Each bundle completely fills a USPS medium flat rate box, so while the yellow and gray bundle might seem smaller, there is more actual yardage in that grouping! Each grouping is a variety of cuts of fabric ranging from smaller scraps to yardage. Many have chunks and odd cuts removed, but hopefully all of it will find a great use in a new home!

Before I get on to the details for how to enter (and don’t fret international friends, there is something for you as well!), I want to share a little about myself for those who might not know me well (for those that follow me and are returning, thank you!).

My name is Yvonne and I am a former aerospace engineer turned quilter, quilt pattern designer, and blogger. My tagline “Sewing at the Speed of Sound” is a nod to the fact that I was on a small team which designed, built, and tested the second privately funded aircraft to exceed the sound barrier. But don’t let the tagline fool you: we ALL sew at the speed of sound; sometimes it sounds faster than others!

I would love to tell you about three fun things I am planning and that will be coming soon to my blog:

#2017PlanningParty

2017-planning-party

I will be hosting a 2017 Planning Linky Party, much like my 2016 Planning Linky Party. The link up will open on December 15th and run through December 31st. Start thinking about your plans and goals for next year… linking up will enter you to win one of 12 fantastic prizes from the Fat Quarter Shop, Aurifil, Make Modern, Meadow Mist Designs, Sew Fresh Quilts, and Quilting Jetgirl!

#quiltingjetgirlAGchallenge

  3. Link your blog post or Instagram photo to the Make with Alison Glass Linky Party to enter to win a fat 8th bundle of 76 from the Alison Glass studio!

Submissions / entries will be limited to one entry per person and entries should be something made using Alison Glass fabric recently (in the past few months). Anyone with a blog or Instagram account is welcome to create and enter (participation in the Charm Swap is NOT a requirement)!

Now on to enter the giveaway!!

The fabric bundles are open to US residents only, and there will be (3) winners. Because I don’t want to leave out my international friends, I am also giving away (1) $50 gift certificate to a store of the winner’s choice (caveat: the store needs to sell gift certificates online) – the gift certificate giveaway is ONLY open to international residents. This giveaway starts today (Wednesday, December 7th) and will run until Sunday, December 11th at midnight EST.

Winners will be notified and must respond via email within 72 hours or they will forfeit their prize and a new winner will be selected.

I love all your bundles as well, but I think the warm one pops for me. Second I would love the blue, cool colors. Then again, third would be the yellow/greys because I’m planning (in my head) a low volume quilt with some bright fussy cuts.

    1. Elana Goldberg says:

Yvonne, thank you for replying so quickly. You are so sweet. I am going to love following your blog!

I love the 2017 Planning Party idea and look forward to joining that. While I love all of the fabric bundles, I’ve found that I’m intrigued with gray and yellow lately. I’ve made three quilts in the last four months in those colors. Crazy! Thanks for the opportunity to win. Quite honestly, I feel like a winner every time I visit your blog. You are certainly an inspiration for me. Thanks! 🙂

  11. Maureen says:

Thank you! I do a lot of scrappy quilting, so these bundles would be perfect. LOVE the yellows and greys, but the warms and cools are beautiful also.

All three bundles of fabric are beautiful! This is a very generous give away, Yvonne. Sounds like you have several fun parties and hops planned for the blog. I plan to take the planning party more serious this year…I have my game face on and I’m ready to go 🙂

  20. Bonnie Larson says:

I love the colours. Thanks so much for sharing. As I am international, I won’t be able to acept these, but would love to win a gift certificate

  21. What a lot of great giveaways! And how kind of you to still do something for the non-American peeps out there!

If Canada had any flat rate postage boxes/envelopes like the US, I suspect I’d do something similar with some of my unwanted fabrics/scraps! I think I’ve got enough green scraps to make a half dozen bed-sized quilts. But… colour of the year for 2017 is green, so maybe it’ll come in handy!

  22. Sherry says:

What a wonderful giveaway, it was hard to choose my favorite bundle, they are all great.

  23. Dawn F. says:

Thanks for the kind giveaway. I like all the bundles, but I think the warm one would add more to my stash in colors that I don’t have.

  24. mindi says:
