The Alison Glass charm swaps I hosted are now complete, and I started doing a bit of thinking. I really want to encourage everyone who participated in the swap (and those who did not) to use the charms and/or Alison Glass fabric in their stash to create something beautiful.
I reached out to the Alison Glass studio and asked if they would consider sponsoring a prize to encourage everyone to create something with the Alison Glass fabric in their stash. To my delight, the AG studio agreed to supply a fat 8th bundle of Seventy Six as a prize!
Alison Glass Challenge Linky Party Rules
- Between now and the end of January, make something with the Alison Glass fabric in your stash! You can make a quilt top, a finished quilt, a garment, a bag, or anything else that your heart desires.
- Write a blog post or post an Instagram photo of your creation.
- Link your blog post or Instagram photo to the Make with Alison Glass Linky Party to enter to win a fat 8th bundle of 76 from the Alison Glass studio!
The linky party will open Monday, January 16th, 2017, and close on January 31, 2017. Winner will be selected via a random number generator. Submissions / entries will be limited to one entry per person and entries should be something made using Alison Glass fabric recently (in the past few months). Anyone with a blog or Instagram account is welcome to create and enter (participation in the Charm Swap is NOT a requirement)!
I am excited and looking forward to seeing what everyone creates!
How very cool. I have no Alison Glass in my stash but am looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with
I’ve had some I think it’s called Hand Made sitting in my stash for a couple of years. ‘this might just get me working on it!
Would love to add some Seventy Six to my stash! Let the planning begin!
Sounds like a fun challenge. The Allison Glass in my stash is a very odd assortment of leftover pieces at this point. Not sure I could pull anything together with it. Is it required that all of the fabric in the project be AG?
Either way, I love her fabric and will enjoy watching what people create with their AG stash.
Great question; thank you so much for asking! No, all the fabric does not need to be Alison Glass, but it should contain enough that it’s not hard for me to pick out, as I’ll be the jury in making sure it was used when the winner is selected.
Sounds good!
YUM! Okay, this may be the push I need to use my bundle of Alison Glass fabric! I was so happy to see it wasn’t limited to the Charm Swap! I would nearly ‘kill’ for that gorgeous bundle! Thank you Yvonne!
I just ordered a bundle of Alison Glass fat 1/8s so I can participate. Have a plan in my head and for now will sit and wait for the fabric to arrive.
I just made myself an all AG sew together bag. Can I enter that or would that not count because it wasn’t completed between now and the end of Jan?
Woohoo! Totally working on some ideas! This is great.
Nice job asking for this great prize, Yvonne! I’m looking forward to seeing the quilts created from Allison’s fabric.
Wow! What a fun idea! That’s pretty soon.
This is such an awesome idea and will hopefully get some of the swap participants to make something with their prints and not just add the pretty fabrics to their stash.
Great idea, I’m due for another tote bag and I have some ex libris fabric that is crying out to be used.
I have some scraps hanging around. I believe I cut them into 2 1/2 inch strips! Maybe a placemat!
Oh I am so glad I saw this! I have a quilt in progress using many Allison Glass fabrics! More incentive to get it done by the 16th!
