How can it be December already? Wasn’t it just yesterday when we were in the middle of summer?? Ah well, I can say one thing with certainty: I am already planning and looking forward to several fun events for 2017. So mark your calendars and spread the word!
2017 New Quilt Bloggers Blog Hop
I want to thank Cheryl @Meadow Mist Designs and Stephanie @Late Night Quilter for partnering with me for 2 years to co-host the New Quilt Bloggers Blog Hop. They both have very exciting new adventures planned for 2017, so please join me in welcoming Leanne @she can quilt and Beth @Cooking Up Quilts as co-hosts for the 2017 New Quilt Bloggers Blog Hop!
Based on feedback, we will be shifting the schedule so that the 2017 blog hop will wrap up before summer. The timeline is tentatively:
- February 2017
- Signups Open
- March 2017
- Registration Closes
- Group introductions
- Behind the scenes discussions via Slack (we will not be using Facebook Groups next year)
- Blog critiques
- April 2017
- First Two Weeks of Blog Hop
- May 2017
- Final Two Weeks of Blog Hop
If you are an alumni or quilting blogger who has been active for longer than 3 years, we would love to have you share this information so that as many new bloggers can be exposed to this opportunity as possible. We would also love to grow our list of Advice for New Bloggers posts. If you have previously written something or would like to write a post that we can link to about anything you wish you had known earlier in your blogging adventure, please contact myself, Leanne, or Beth by leaving a comment on either of our blogs or emailing us for further details.
2017 Planning Party
I will be hosting a 2017 Planning Linky Party, much like my 2016 Planning Linky Party. The link up will open on December 15th and run through December 31st. Start thinking about your plans and goals for next year… linking up will enter you to win some fantastic prizes!
All sounds good . I can certainly write up a few bits of advice for the innocent abroad . I really did find the new bloggers hop was the one thing that really helped me . One last thing , I haven’t heard of slack
I’d be thrilled to join the New bloggers group, I’ve only been blogging for about half a year (though it feels like forever ;))
I know, December already?? How is that possible? Looks like you’re already filling in your 2017 🙂
Glad to hear this is back up for 2017. I’ll be following along and hope to join.
Good Morning Yvonne! I have enjoyed following this blog hop since I started following your blog. I always learn something new and exciting that I wish I would have known then. So, you bet, if there is any way in which I can help promote on my blog, I am all for it. Just give me the word and well send me specific directions! My goal for my blog in 2017 is to start blogging once again and I really want to do a year round Christmas making blog post at least once a month. I have not worked out all of the bugs yet. Thanks for always inspiring me, Yvonne! Have a fantastic creative day!
Hi Yvonne! I’m really interested in the 2017 Planning Party…this is my first year with the Quilter’s Planner and I need to get my goals/plans organized so between the planner and the party I’m hoping for great success 🙂
Good morning,
I am new at this blogging thing, so I am anxious to see what it is all about! I love to follow the quilting world and the buzz that keeps the field growing! Quilters are some of the most amazing people. THANK YOU to all that love to share in what is a beautiful thing. I hope to learn and be inspired, so that I can get some of these projects that I want to work on, get done!(I am one of those that have sooooo much I want to do and not enough time to do it in!)
I look forward to reading more of this adventure!
Yeah, I’m pretty much in shock that it’s December 1st. And then I keep seeing pictures of snow-covered trees, and that seems really bizarre too! Looking forward to the linky party!
I’ve already been thinking about the planning party and my goals for next year. I guess I need to write a wrap up post about how my goals went this year.
You are so well-organised – I feel motivated to try and imitate your example and give 2017 some thought.
Love your Planning Party idea, Yvonne! I think I’ve settled on my word for 2017 and am looking forward to blogging about it and my motivation for the year ahead : )
I so enjoyed being part of the group this year – I would love to join again next year it I fulfil the criteria. Will be keeping an eye out for the sign up in the New Year.
