Next up on my WIP list is a baby quilt, and the fabric for it arrived just in time this week!
Baby Quilt Fabrics
The basis of the fabric grouping is the top airplane novelty print: Ready Set Go, Organic Airplanes, Sky for Robert Kaufman Fabrics. The next selection was for the backing (far right in the image above): Flannelland Dreamy Clouds Blue. The binding is Spot On Medium Dot Orange for Robert Kaufman, and the size of the dots is surprisingly close to the size on the airplane wings (whew). In the middle is Kona Hyacinth for the background of the quilt top, and to round out the quilt top piecing are Moda Grow Grown Up Stripe in Bud Blue and Normandy Court Ticking Stripe Navy/Blue for Bernatex.

I am excited to cut into these this week and hope the quilt turns out as well as I have envisioned!

Fun choices. I couldn’t resist some giraffe print flannel for a baby quilt back, but I do not have a clear plan for it yet. (If I have a plan, it is to keep focusing on UFOs for a while.)
