**Don’t miss out on information on Tiled Parquet – my debut design for Quilt Theory – and its associated giveaway!** The giveaway is now closed.
I started writing this blog post as “November…” instead of October! Eek! I have a lot to get done before the end of the year, and there is no sense in writing off the last of October just yet. Cheryl @Meadow Mist Designs released the October Meadow Mystery Quilt instructions on last Thursday. I don’t think it will surprise anyone to learn that I like HSTs, Hourglass, and Half Hourglass blocks, so I didn’t waste time making my blocks for the month.
Clearly, this is just a representation of each of the blocks we were to make, but trust me, they are all done and I’m ready for November (but hopefully I can be really productive in the mean time, haha).
WIPs
So what exactly do I have to work on? I just accepted another large commission quilt, and I am feeling like my “to do” list is going to carry me through the end of the year. I’m definitely wanting to finish things up before taking on any more commitments at the moment.
1. Finish Secret Sewing Project #2 (currently quilting)
2. Quilting a quilt top for a local client (my first long arm work for a local client which is both exciting and terrifying at the same time)
3. Baby Quilt Commission
4. Chakra Mini Quilt Commission
5. Downstream (finish in time to submit to QuiltCon)
6. Large Cocoa Leaf Medallion Quilt Commission (inspired by my original Cocoa Leaf Medallion quilt, but this one is slightly smaller, a bit different (more modern) and intended for people who own a Cocoa farm!)
7. Paintbrush Studio New Block Charity Quilt (quilt, bind, donate)
8. Banner Plus Bee Block Quilt (I just ordered backing, then quilt, bind, and gift to my new niece who is expected in late November / early December)
9. Mini quilt for Patreon
10. Mini quilt for Patreon
11. Mini quilt for Kitty
12. Mini mini for Patreon
I hope to stop adding to the list and working through them. Fingers crossed I can get it all done in time!
Now THAT’s a list! The best of luck to you to finish all of that up without going insane 😉 Hope you’ll still find some time for yourself.
That’s one long list, which is sure to keep you busy. Thankfully it is still October no need to rush November it will get here all too soon.
That is a big list Yvonne, but you are super organized so I think you’ll do well with it. They are all such beautiful projects so they will keep your interest for sure.
You will rock it. Can’t wait to see how you quilt your quiltcon quilt!
Looking forward to the finishes you can share!
You have a lot on your plate! That isn’t a bad thing, but I’m sure it will be nice to be on the other side of it so you can get a breather! Just a short break…I’m sure there will be plenty other things that will fill up your time again! I love the quilt you are doing for QuiltCon!
That looks like a pretty intimidating list, but You’re so organized and focused, I’m sure you’ll accomplish them all. Have fun while you’re at it – 🙂
That’s a long list but you can do it…..just remember to stop and take a deep breath once in a while.
You do have a lot to get done this month! I love, love, love your downstream project!
Yikes, you are an ambitious gal. I don’t like to write mine down because it might scare me!
Lovely list of pretty projects! Congratulations on all of the commission work, Yvonne!
Your list looks like mine, only mine aren’t commissions. Your work is beautiful, and I know your clients will be thrilled. Congratulations!!! And… Breathe!!!
You are one busy lady….and this doesn’t include teaching classes. I think it must be easier to stay on track when the list is in black and white in front of you. It must be thrilling to have new clients. Love your Quilt Con quilt.
I am wishing you the very best in finishing as much as possible. At least some of them are smaller projects. Your plus banner quilt is super cute!
Whew! I’m sure your new client will be so delighted with your quilting. I’d feel great to even make a dent in a list like yours.
Great mystery blocks and works in progress. I love Downstream, I am hoping there will be a pattern to that in the future.
You were not kidding that your list is a long one. Now I don’t feel so bad about my list being so long. You said it best when you told me “We’ve got this!”
That’s an impressive list of projects. Intimidating but reassuring at the same time :))) Best of luck!
All of the quilts are beautiful. I esp. love those colors in the Cocoa Leaf one.
Look at those wonderful wips
What a list Yvonne! That Downstream is just amazing!
A new version of cocoa leaf for a cocoa farm? Cool!
Such good projects, as always. 🙂
How are you planning to quilt your Stash Bee quilt??
that’s quite a list, though I have seen much longer ones! I didn’t FAL this year, maybe next year, I’m sure my starting list would be about 99 items long!
Love the quilts you’ve shown in this post, I will enjoy watching you complete them!
Wow, what a long list of projects! I love your Downstream quilt.
I need to update my WIP list and organize it. I pulled out my Meadow Mystery fabric today but didn’t get a change to make blocks. Good luck with your list.
That is quite a list! Congratulations on the longarm commission. I have total confidence in your abilities 🙂 Everything you shared here is so gorgeous!
