Sometimes life just does not go quite the way I have planned. I am guessing you might be able to relate; this seems like a universal happenstance. As I mentioned on July 15th, I had a pattern printed and included in the August Stash Builder Box: Bundle Buster. Amanda from Stash Builder Box very kindly shipped to me an August box so that I could get a copy of the printed pattern and share with you all about the box. This is where life did not play out the way either Amanda or I had hoped: my next door neighbors sold their home and the post office began forwarding all my mail in early August. After about a week and a half I finally figured out what was going on and got the problem resolved, but for a week and a half to two weeks (eep!) my mail was forwarded to who knows where or returned to sender. By the time it all got sorted out, the opportunity to order the August Stash Builder Box had closed, I was going on vacation, Amanda was returning on vacation… and yeah, life people. Not always to plan.
So imagine my surprise when I get home from my vacation to find not just one (finally found and delivered) August Stash Builder Box, but TWO! Amanda generously shipped another box to me as soon as she found out the first was “lost” in the mail system. This is especially fortunate for you: this August box is sold out and no longer available for purchase, so I am giving away the second box to one lucky reader (more details below). Whoo!
So here are the contents of the August Stash Builder Box that I got to add to my stash this week and that you can enter to win:
- Fabric – Junebug Collection from Dear Stella (Foral Texture, Net in Mustard, and Demi Circles)
- A set of 10 Clover Wonder Clips in Neon Green
- A small spool of 50wt Aurifil thread
- Stash Block of the Month pattern: Card Trick
- Stash Pick of the Month: Bundle Buster by Quilting Jetgirl
- A “Measure Twice Cut Once” pencil, and
- A Kind bar
Needless to say, the Kind bar did not last between the photograph and the writing (let alone publishing) of this blog post.

Feeling very grateful to finally be linking this up with Sunday Stash.
That box looks great! (Way too expensive posting it to the UK though!!!)
That is how all bad things should turn out, even better than the original. Wonderful lot of goodies, and your ” Bundle Buster” a super pattern. And I wonder why the yummy car was eaten so quickly, maybe it just might be warm enough to melt in the post.
So glad the original was delivered! Awesome giveaway! Thanks!
That’s awful about your mail! I’m glad you figured it out. What a lovely box of goodness! You are very generous.
So sorry to hear about your mail trouble! I love getting mail! I’d have eaten the Kind bar too! I have a stash of them at work that vanishes frequently! Great looking box of goodies!
Well Yvonne: Isn’t that weird that your mail was getting forwarded along with/instead of your neighbours. I love how it turned out in the end…and I love that the Kind bar disappeared. That June Bug collection from Dear Stella is very nice to look at.
That is Karma, what goes around comes around. You are always helpful, supportive and informative. Thanks for sharing your bonus box.
Yvonne, at first glance I thought the Bundle Buster involved partial seams, but after looking again I was able to distinguish the blocks. Once again you have come up with a great design.
What an awful thing! Glad your snail mail got figured out. Looks like a fun box and a fun pattern. Cheers, Kathleen
Congratulations on your pattern being included in the Stash-buster Box! Our mail service here is crazy, too. I have had to have packages re-sent, but the first shipment never turns up. Great box! A Kind bar was my lunch yesterday.
The USPS started forwarding your mail?! Man, how does that even happen? Glad you finally got it all figured out but I can just imagine the pain in the butt that probably was. I meant to purchase this August box but completely forgot about it until it was too late.
I would have flipped out if my mail was lost in ‘la la land’! Yikes! It’s a good thing you figured it out. There are times when life gets off kilter, it isn’t fun, but as they say…that’s life! I’m glad you got it figured out!
What an experience with the postal service. Yikes! Hopefully everything will be restored to its proper place. The bundle looks lovely!
Did they return the junk mail too?! lol Good thing you got the important things back. I think I follow you on everything but instagram and twitter.
Glad that you were finally able to get your mail sorted out. I hope nothing TOO important was lost.
How kind of you to share your extra box and how lucky for one reader! Thanks! (Aren’t those Kind bars the greatest? )
That is so awesome that Amanda sent you a second box. I would just love to win this box. And if I do win it Yvonne, you may have the Kind Bar. I am very glad that you figured out what was happening with your mail. I hope you all have a wonderful day.
I feel lost when we don’t get mail, even if it is only ads. Glad your situation is resolved! The box contents are hefty on creativity. Thanks to you and Amanda fir sharing.
It’s very generous of you to share your extra box. I really love your pattern and can’t wait when it’s available for purchase. Scraps are waiting.
The post is odd sometimes. I sent a package to Canada that for some reason went to Hawaii and then was never seen again
Not getting mail would make me feel like I was being punished….even bills are better than nothing. Thank you for generosity in sharing the extra box. Hope all your mail woes are resolved!!
Thanks for sharing your loot! I hope your (eventually) good news from the post office rubs off on me…I have a box of fabric that shows up in their system as “undeliverable as addressed”! Yikes! I hope it finds it’s way back to me soon :/
These boxes look great. Enter me in and I’ll brow beat somebody in the US to accept on my behalf, just like the Oscars.
HI,neat Giveaway! Thank You for Your Blog !
Hope you get the rest of your mail too!
Oh no! I’m so glad you got it worked out, but man, that’s super annoying! 🙁
Love the positive attitude you have. Trusting that your remaining mail will show up too!
Life has certainly been doing its own thing lately, I can relate. What a lovely box.
What a strange journey, but didn’t it turn out wonderfully! I love Stash Builder Box and am so glad you donated your pattern. They are a worthy cause.
What a wonderful giveaway! Thanks for the chance to win!
Yes, life certainly keeps us on our toes! This box looks great and I love your pattern in there!!
yay – so glad the lost box turned up – I always wonder where things end up when they’re lost !
Don’t you just love the mail system? I’m glad you were able to get that nightmare sorted out. I’m not sure I would have figured it out as quickly. That was super nice of Amanda to get a second box out to you so quickly.
