Welcome to the Snowflake Shimmer Quilt Along Linkup #4! I am so excited to see the quilt tops starting to come together, and today you can link up a blog post, Instagram photo, or email me to be included in the linkup which makes you eligible to win one of four awesome prizes from fabulous sponsors Aurifil, Meadow Mist Designs, Sew Fresh Quilts, and Quilting Jetgirl. You don’t have to be entirely up to date to linkup; just show progress from last time to be eligible to win the giveaway.
I am excited to have my quilt top done on time to share with you today, too!
Jennifer @RV Quilting shared a really unique perspective of her pieced quilt top in the Quilting Jetgirl Facebook group, and I was so fascinated that I took a photo of the center of my quilt top rotated at a 45-degree angle to mimic her photograph. Isn’t it interesting to see the quilt design from a different perspective?!?
To link up your blog post or Instagram photo, click on the blue “Add your link” button below. If you have any questions or difficulties linking up, you can let me know and I will help as best I can OR you can email me a photo of your fabric selection and I will enter you into the giveaway. The linkup is open for one week. Next week I will be back with some detailed finishing instructions for the quilt and the final linkup will open on September 23rd and last for 2 weeks until October 7th.

Looks so frosty and snowflakey all pieced up! Really like that colour blue!
This is beautiful. I may just try to get it made. Nothing like adding another project to the list, lol.
Love the new perspective! It looks so lovely and wintery. 🙂
I really like this color way, I need to get my quilt finished 🙂
So fun seeing these all come together! Amazing how the fabric choices can change the look so much!
It is beautiful. (And blue!)
This quilt has been really fun to make. Thank you for your guidance along the way Yvonne; your tutorials are excellent and very helpful. I have learned in making this quilt that practice and taking my time are key partners to the tutorials as once I sewed my SiaS blocks together, they weren’t as perfect as I thought they were. Your quilt is stunning and your points are so perfect it is inspiration to me! I am enjoying seeing everyone’s progress along the way as well. Nice job SFS group!
It’s interesting to see all the different versions. Quilting is so great that everyone can make the same pattern but end up with a totally different quilt.
I wish my shoulder would have allowed me to make a bed size quilt, but I love the mini version too.
These are all stunning! It’s surprising how each looks so different from the original. Now I wish I had made time to do this sewalong. Thank you, Yvonne! Even though I didn’t make the quilt along with you, I benefited by reading your concise and precise directions. I know my piecing will improve!
