QuiltCut Fabric Cutting System

Cutting Station

I found it!

I purchased a specialty cutting station / mat / ruler system at a quilt show many, many years ago, and I have long since removed the cutting mat (many times over) which had the brand information on it. I also never used the ruler system – I just really liked the base of the mat. I received another email about my cutting station this morning, and I finally found that the company does in fact still exist. You can find more details at QuiltCut.

I am in no way affiliated with QuiltCut, but I do use the base from the fabric cutting system and like having edges to press my rulers against as I cut (I have to admit that it is more expensive than I remember… ). I am also posting this for my own benefit so that I won’t have to scramble to remember this information again in the future, should need arise!

  1. Good Morning Yvonne! I do not ever remember seeing this system before, but yikes, like another system or two it is far out of my price range. Yet, it is really nice to know that you truly are happy with it and do recommend it. When it comes to purchasing items such as these, knowing that at least one quilter recommends it makes it a better choice to search farther into. Thank you for sharing and great tip about saving it just for yourself also! Have a fantastic creative day!

So the entire reason I stated blogging (way back when, might I add) was so I could search my own blog for the code snippets I’d created or thought I may eventually reuse. This is a really neat system, I’m hoping that if you got it at a show you managed to haggle a deal on it but it sounds like you’ve gotten your money’s worth on it over the years of repeated use!

I watched the tutorial for the cutting mat. Love it Yvonne, but is out of my price range. Thank you for the recommendation. If I could I would buy one.

I love using the blog as a storage place too, I even have a couple of draft posts that will probably never get published which are all about me referring back to them.

  5. This looks like a cool tool. I totally use my blog as a little diary to keep details of my fabric, quilts, etc in one place.

I use my civil engineers husbands left over drafting table with the accessories. It is amazing to use and I love putting my cutting mat on and using his measuring tools! And I can sit as it is tilted, lucky me!

A neat tool, just a little pricey. I like the idea of using your blog to store info.

If it wasn’t for my blog, I might never remember anything!! I’ve never seen a cutting mat like yours…it looks very interesting!

I have the Quilt Cut 2 also and love it. I bought mine years ago, but I think I still paid about $200.

  10. Wow, that is such a great cutting system! I seriously might need to save my pennies for this. You mentioned that you’ve since removed the cutting mat from yours. Did you just place a new one on top? Was it because it wore out? Just curious about some of your feedback before I do any serious considerations for getting something like this.

I really appreciate the time and thought you take to comment, and I look forward to conversing with you. :)
