Have you heard that Renee @Quilts of a Feather and Jess @Quilty Habit are hosting a fun Selvage Along this summer? This week, they are hosting a link up to show off your selvage storage and / or collection, and I had to laugh at my meager offering:
I currently have 2 selvages in my stash. I did recently work on a fun secret project that used up selvages in the project, and I will be featuring the selvage binding technique I used on August 17th!
I am excited to get more ideas and inspiration to push me into saving up my selvages, and I hope you join in, too!

In other news, I am celebrating 1,000 followers on Instagram with a giveaway which is open until 5pm Eastern, Monday, July 27th. Thank you to everyone who is following my quilting journey! I should be crossing a big blogging milestone or two in the near future as well; I am approaching 500 Bloglovin’ Followers and I am about 70 posts away from 500! I will celebrate here with a giveaway when the first 500 milestone is reached.
That’s 2 more selvages than I have! But will be interesting to see all the ideas everyone comes up with. Congratulations on your milestones!
I don’t keep mine either but I so admire the projects that come from them! Congrats on the stats! I’m not surprised people want to follow your quilty works!
I throw my selvages out but have been seeing this for a while but will start to save them. Can you tell us the ‘rules’ for cutting off the selvage? L
You have one more selvage than me. I only kept it because it had my name on it. 🙂 And congrats on all the followers. That is amazing, but not surprising.
Congrats on your milestones! You’ve put a lot of hard work into growing your blog.
At least you have a good excuse for having only two!
You’ve got more than me. I don’t save them and don’t feel inclined to use them. Congrats again on your 1K following!
I have tons of selvedges, but haven’t found a project yet. I’m hoping to get some inspiration from the blog hop.
Thanks for sharing this. I was just commenting on a post that I think I have been underestimating the usefulness of selvages. Maybe I should not be so quick to toss these little fellows away.
I wanted to join in and planned to join in, but I will be travelling all of September. Let’s see how I go.
