I took one of those silly quizes that seem to be all the rage on Facebook at the moment earlier this week: What Word Describes You To a Tee? I don’t think the result is too terribly surprising: I am Grateful!
This week I have been focused on being super thankful for my hard working husband. He has been a bit under the weather and working to meet schedule deadlines at his job anyway. As I was sewing yesterday, I was just incredibly grateful for the gift of having him in my life, providing for me, and allowing me to have the time to quilt. On top of that, he’s always excited to see what I have been working on and he is great at exploring ideas with me.
What are YOU thankful for this week? Here’s how to link up (link up open for 48 hours on Thursday and Friday US Pacific time):
- Link up any blog post the past week that discusses something that you are thankful for, no matter how big or small (Did you win a giveaway? Did your seam ripper save the day? Did a friend do something simple and kind that made your day?).
- To link an Instagram photo, click the Instagram icon at the bottom of the link-up screen, and use the URL of your IG feed as the link (for example, my URL is http://www.instagram.com/quiltingjetgirl). Please hashtag #QuiltyThankfulThursday.
- If you are linking to a blog post, please link back here to my blog somewhere in your post.
- Comment on at least a few of the other Thankful Thursday links, either IG or blog—commenting on the two or three links directly before yours works well to make sure everyone gets comments!

Your post made me smile. There is nothing like a supportive husband! 🙂 I hope yours feels better soon!
This is what I got, which I feel is fairly accurate (it should also say that I expect these things from the people around me, but am often disappointed) : Sincere
You are a very sincere and honest human being. You’re very much inline with your values, and you always try to be a better person for yourself and for others. As a person with integrity, you are principled and you keep it real like no other. You don’t just talk the talk, you actually walk the walk every single day.
I’m grateful that you posted the link to the quiz. I got “warmhearted” which I found surprising. Hope your hubby is feeling 100% soon.
I got sincere. I am so grateful for a my husband too. He is so supportive.
I’m warm-hearted. That’s me. I like to make people feel good, and it makes me feel good in return. Not that I’m not grateful for that, too. : )
The act of being grateful uniquely qualifies you to see your own situation differently. We almost stand back and view it as we would someone else’s. Not from a judging viewpoint, but from one that has been in many different situations. It’s hard to be truly grateful unless you have experienced some turmoil at some point. I think it says a lot about how much you’ve grown in life.
Thank you for hosting today, Yvonne. Lovely linky. Deeper than all the rest.
Julie
I got Sincere, which is why I appreciate friends like Renee who keep it real too.
Warmhearted
You have amazing kindness that flows from within you. Everyone who’s experienced it is grateful for you. It has truly made you a winner in life. You have brought more love, peace, and joy to the world because of your kindness!
I have only accepted this the most in the recent years and it is pretty true! I have accepted that I don’t naturally have a ‘mean soul’. I love how supportive your husband has been with you throughout the entire journey of yours it appears, as I am sure you the same in return! I’m super thankful that you both are happily supportive and interested in what the other has ‘going on’. :o)
Your idea for Thankful Thursday is great. I am thankful for the ability to quilt and the wonderful friends I’ve met.
What a fun quiz. It says I am “hopeful.” Today I am especially grateful for going fabric shopping with my mom without kids. 😀
I’m in the Sincere camp 🙂 and I feel the same way like Renee and just like you I’m thankful for my husband as he showed a lot of support lately.
A lovely thankful Thursday today, hope he’s feeling much better by now and all those deadlines were met and now happily out of the way.
I as well got Sincere and feel like Renee and Vera. Last month I lost my father very suddenly and my husband has been so supportive and loving it makes me even more grateful for having him in my life. Thanks for sharing.
