I was out of town last weekend and had a lovely opportunity to visit with Renee @Quilts of a Feather. We decided to split a purchase of the Denise Schmidt solids from Massdrop – a beautiful rainbow collection of 75 fat quarters. We got together for a bit of breakfast and then we pulled out fabrics two at a time and divided up the rainbowy goodness. These are the 37 lovelies I brought home:
Renee then drove us to 3 different quilt stores around town, and I had a great time getting to see modern fabrics in person (my LQS tends to carry much more traditional fabric). I decided to purchase yard cuts of fabric, and so I came home with this carefully selected bundle of 4.5 yards (the coral was only available in 2 remaining fat quarters):
Alison Glass: Mercury in Blue, Alison Glass: Sun Prints Bike Path in Teal, Alison Glass Text in Charcoal, Moda Persimmon Blueberry Crumble Gingersnap in Light Blue, Kate Spain: Honey Honey Honeycomb w/Bees – Tonal Coral w/White
Seen side by side, I am really excited to come up with great uses for my new stash additions!
Linking up to Sunday Stash.
Noice!!! I have my eye on that Denyse Schmidt fat quarter bundle, great colors! That’s a lovely friend to share that!
Beautiful fabric!
Good things come in threes… A paper bag filled with solid goodness, a pile of delightful prints, and a day spent with a fun, quilty friend. Your new stash additions are beautiful and it seems you had a wonderful day with Renee!
Ooh La La – what a tempting sight Yvonne! The Mercury in blue and the Bees and those solids…all of them! I would not have been able to pass up those fabrics either.
I look forward to seeing what you make with all of these fabrics. I hope we get to go fabric shopping again together! But not too soon, I need to use up some of my stash first…
Oh…I need to breath in to a bag! Be still my heart! Gorgeous stack, I can only imagine what they all looked like together!
Gorgeous additions and sounds like you two had a fun time!
Colorful yumminess! I’m sure we’ll see some in action soon 😉
lovely goodies you have there, I am a super big Alison Glass fan, and I love that coral you chose.
Oh my gosh! That stack of solids makes me want to do a happy dance – I can’t wait to see what you do with all those great fabrics!
Those solids are gorgeous! And such great prints. Great buys!
Oh my, Yvonne! That stack of solids makes me so danged happy! And the rest of your purchases, well they’d fit quite nicely in my stash too. It’s like we’re stash twins! 🙂 I’ve only recently discovered Alison Glass’ Mercury and I am smitten!
Those are eye popping and that is awesome that you got to meet and hang with her! I’m super jealous! Jealous of that AND those fabrics! That coral is scrumptious. For some reason I can’t remove myself from that color and I think I am beginning to “overdue” it on that in my stash right now. Ugh… did I just say that? LoL
Oh my gorgeousness!!!! I’m so jealous of your solids stash, now! That’s one part of my stash that is severely lacking, but part of the problem is that I would probably have to just buy a bolt of each color. LOL I think this year I will make it a goal to make a solid-heavy (if not entirely solid) quilt. The aesthetic of solids quilts almost ALWAYS appeals to me, but I have yet to jump into one. I can’t WAIT to see what you create with this gorgeous bundle!!
Oh my gosh, I snapped up 3 charm packs of the modern solids and I LOVE them. The first is becoming 1″ PP hexies, I’ve no idea what will become of the other two! The feel of them is absolutely amazing though!!
I love love love the solids! Great choices! I look forward to seeing what you make!
oooooooh I have a case of fabric envy. Those plain fabrics took my breath away, and I love every single one of the others as well

Beautiful fabrics! I was thinking about joining the DS bundle on massdrop, but by the time I decided to actually go for it, it was sold out.
What gorgeous buys! Looking forward to seeing your makes with them.
